So I finally got my grey silks after a couple of backings.
I like everything about them, the only downside is that they are very light.
I dont know what to do about cuffing. I never cuff. I did 15 years ago, where I used a single open cuff but today as a grown man Im not really sure how it...
My Highwayman has a little fold but thats it, no sagging.
Has started to develop a nice worn in look with a coupple of small holes. Really super happy with the lining that I dont even know what it is, but looks closer to a mustard a2 lining then anything else, except not exactly the same tone.
My GreyxBlack H-bones didnt make it. They didnt stand the quality-check.
Seldom have I been so bummed about a pair of pants. Tear out my heart, feed it to lions
Oh, for this one wish I beg you this tonight, show me no mercy but spare me my pride.
Truth is, they are so dark so its hard to see the combs. I also never usually get high contrast combes. I think I will have to wait after the wash to be able to get it on film. They are there, and looking promising, but we have a way to go yet.
I have been wearing my loomies almost everyday since I got them (about 8 months now). No wash, no soak.
(jut the initial hotsoak that you have to do with unsanforized denim)

I have non selvadge raw denim that has held up better then more expensive selvadge denim (about same oz) so yes, its probably more the construction and overall quality that matters. It doesnt matter if its expensive selvadge if there is a hiccup in the weave and that is placed on the heartseem...
Im not gonna get any other boots. I have had my suede deserts for almost exactly 4 years now, and I use them every other day and they are still looking as good as ever, and the sole is very little worn. Still comfy.
So I think I gotta look at the burgundy, but since I dont own any other...
I really need the desert boot because the soles make me able to wear them all day and them some without pain. If Im going out for a long walk I always choose my desert boots over my jack purcells so I think that says something about how comfy they are.
They do look waxy. I wonder if this is the right leather for me. Dont get me wrong, they look good, but I was trying to aim for a more dressy look.
Maybe I have to get theese :D
I also emailed the owner of that homepage about my grandfather whos Irvin I have and he was a navigator and they usually flew nighmissions. I could never find his name in the records tho, wierd.
I also have the pants that are in really good condition.
Bugs me that I cant find his name. Dad used...
