New guy pulling the trigger on an Aero Leather.

Welcome to the lounge! Great looking jacket! I would be more prone to the Fifties Flight Jacket than an A-2, myself, for two reasons - One, the more comfortable fit, and Two, the handwarmer pockets - I use mine all the time. Before you decide on which leather to get, you might want to talk...

DIY French Cycle Jacket (aka. Luftwaffe Jacket)

It DOES need a buckle at the bottom of the zipper, because that zipper doesn't come all the to the bottom of the hem, and you have those side adjuster tabs that would pull the bottom of the front opening apart - which would not only look bad, but put focused strain on the bottoms of the zipper...

How many new jackets do you have coming (and how many potential ones)?

One of those - AMF Harley - in seal brown, was my first leather jacket ever. I bought it without knowing ANYTHING about leather or jackets, at a Harley dealership, 35 years ago. Since then I have learned so much about jackets and leather, and have had many, but have NEVER had a nicer fitting...

    Aero Teamster in Battered Seal

That jacket fits perfectly, and you wear it well - you could be a model in a catalog selling those! It is true that the shoulders will relax, round off, and conform to the shape of your body more, but, frankly, that's not going to be an improvement on the perfection you have right now.

    Aero Lining: Which Most Durable?

I live on the Oregon coast and use my jacket year-round. Over layers and no layers. In strong wind, fog, and rain. Very active and inactive. I find my cotton drill comfortable against the skin, easy to put on and off even over layers of wool shirts and sweaters, breathable, and extremely...

    Vanson Model B opinion

I'd like to see a pic with your arms STRAIGHT down - with no bend at the elbows. Also, a shot with them extended straight out in front, like you're holding on to motorcycle handlebars, or a steering wheel.

    Distressing a leather jacket

I have never done it to a jacket, but I have used acetone on a number of pairs of shoes and boots without noticing any damage to the leather at all. It will dry the leather out, so you will want to 'feed' the leather afterwards, with your choice of product. I like Pecards. Good luck! And...

    navetsea designs a trench coat...

I think they look sharp too. I know I couldn't pull it off - I don't have the right physique, lifestyle, or clothes and accessories to wear with it - but if I saw someone else wearing one, I would think - "Wow, now there goes a guy with STYLE."

What Jacket Are You Wearing Today?

That is a cool look - you look like you're about to go rough up some scabs in the 1930's. The jacket has character. How do you like it, and how does it fit? Also, what kind of sweater is that?
