The fit looks great on you. I am in the same boat need/preferring a 22-22 1/2 pit to pit. closer to 23 can work depending on the shoulders but not ideal but maybe splitting hairs
Diamond Dave's are great jackets and this one looks super. Hard to tell the color based on your pics. Looks like...
stock marked 42, a measurement or two may have been tweaked, I just don't remember. I have a new 5 Star A-1 in Pull Up HH that is all my own custom measurements. They put a size 38 tag in it. Will post pics in a few weeks after some wear and one alteration.
No worries Marc and GREAT Thedi shop photos- must have been a blast to have visited. I was in Greece last year but too far north to get to their shop, considered it though!!!!
Mr. P: Yes, perhaps 5 Star sheep is a lighter weight hide? I am familiar with many thinner sheepskin jackets that are pretty comfortable but I don't think the Aero's are (unless there are some hide thickness options) ELC offers a lightweight version of the Irvin for this very reason.
these jackets are simply amazing. but IMO, I have not seen one on the Thedi site or Thedi FB that I think I could pull off wearing. I think the jackets are SO GOOD, they almost draw too much attention to themselves. I mean, not really, but kinda. Just too "pretty" for my taste...........that...
function: ANJ4, awesome looking: Irvin FWIW, these jackets are both really impractical and uncomfortable if you plan on wearing them a lot. If you have non-leather jackets that will work for you practically, you may end up wearing those most of the time anyway. Aero makes a great Irvin
perhaps a hair large but it still looks great. we all know A-2 fits from the 40's are all over the map. it depends on the fit you are looking for. at least you will be able to sell it easily. I'll bet you already have some PM's saying if you sell, they will buy.
Brave Star still makes small runs from Cone Mills selvedge they have in storage or can still get their hands on. By necessity, their runs are coming more from Japanese sources now.
Jesus - the nicest racer anyone is ever going to own. Looks amazing. if you aren't wearing it enough you might have
"issues" . Ha, only kidding, but sorta not, I mean WHY would someone not wear this? How can anyone own other jackets that are better than this? of course I am joking but...
Yes, many great options. For fine quality selvage, Brave Star is the way to go. Very detailed list of measurements of each size online, great service and really the best prices for selvedge. I think for some they don't look "vintage" enough in re pocket shape and even their funny gold "star"...
superbly upgraded website that will certainly lead to more sales. Congratulations! I know creating a site can be a real challenge. I enjoyed the site with enthusiasm............however, Unless I am missing something, I sure wish one could see large photos of the jackets. The photo box is...
Edward - I am sure you are doing this but everyone needs to be sure to look at their sizing details as they list the actual dimensions of their garments. There is often quite a bit of size difference between tagged and actual. For what I have been purchasing, I have generally gone DOWN one or...
