I never mind paying less for something I think is good
I own an excellent pair of Church's Oxford Brogues that I got discounted from £450 down to £300 a few years ago, and paid a little less than that for the pair before. Not cheap, but £300 is worth it to me for quality. But then Church's were...
Thedi's prices have been high for some time... but yes, I totally get that point!
It was just a bit of a sticker shock to see average Aero jacket prices jump from about £600 to £870ish in half a decade. £100 less, slightly beyond inflation, might not have elicited such a surprise
When I was living in China, Levi's jeans retailed for 1,200-1,400rmb in store, which is about $180-210USD....
Obviously there's lots of fakes you can buy there, but they tend to be tailored to Asian body shapes, which doesn't help me much! Haha
Have you held samples? The goat is very pliable and very tough. I don't see it showing patina with street use, as it's incredibly difficult to mark, even intentionally. It has a peculiar plasticy coating/bonded top layer. I've wondered about exactly what that is before, and it's been discussed...
As much as I love some Levi's products, I wish the company would enact some kind of quality control. My favourite cut, the 541's, are absolutely all over the place depending on which factory churns them out. The higher quality ones with leather patches, that Levi's staff confusingly told me are...
Don't get me wrong, there's items I'll stubbornly wear and items I couldn't wear under any circumstances (*cough*grizzly jackets*cough* ;) ) but as long as I feel I look ok I don't care too much :)
I thought these *were* jeggings
As soon as I opened the thread I suspected most of the talk would be about the jeans, and I was not disappointed! Seriously, though, jacket fits well and looks cool. Plus, if your lady likes the jeans/jeggings, go for it. I'm always happy to adapt what I'd...
I'm at home in London for July and August, and would be game to meet up, but I'm away again by October- I'll be the other side of the world. We are allowed to meet when it's T-shirt weather, right? ;)
I have quite large biceps/triceps but like slim fitting fitting racer style jackets- mobility is otherwise fine, but the specific angle required to get my hands in the chest pockets is problematic. I can undo them fine, but I couldn't get my hand in for love nor money. So it wouldn't...
That would also be my primary choice- there's no bulk to it so it doesn't spoil the line of the jacket one bit, and it at least gives you a usable pocket. If you're used to using jacket pockets all your life it's hard to give that up. My suit jackets for work would infuriate me if they had no...
Entirely up to the buyer. I wouldn't want a pocketless jacket, but that's me. The decorative chest pockets don't count because they're impractical- I found the only way to use them was to take the jacket off first. Haha!
Your jacket looks great! The red goes well with the brown leather. Good design to it. The Aero jacket is however a hard pass for me- it looks like an ugly ladies jacket, and the red and black don't appear to compliment each other.
