I was online this evening looking for a belt to buy, and couldn't find Equus... even though their prices have skyrocketed in recent years, I wanted one. Sad to see they've gone out of business. I wonder where their stock ended up?
Took two minutes to load this page just now to see the replies. Using an iPhone right now. Something problematic remains... before the last couple of months I've rarely ever experienced issues in 6 years on here.
Mods- I appreciate the effort this must take. I've seen other forums have massive...
You did well... my T-shirts made in Hoi An 12 years ago didn't survive 6 months of backpacking, due to the stitching failing rather than the fabric being a problem. They fit nicely while they lasted.
I have had T-shirts that survived a decade, though. Abercrombie and Fitch, for an example of a...
When your neighbour calls the police because they heard one of the apartments above them running a dishwasher on a Sunday, even though they couldn't tell for certain which apartment committed that heinous offence...
As I'll have the warm apartment and warm clothes, I should survive the winter ;) Just not sure how much I'll enjoy it as I used to find London winters rather miserable. It seems Bavaria gets a good bit more sunlight through winter than London, so that's something :D
I'd get rid of the Schott, mainly because I think it's garish and ugly. Sorry to say.
The other jackets look good, but if you've outgrown one and it's doubtful you'll fit it again, it's time to move on and reinvest.
Regarding a weird internal thermostat after a long time in Asia- my thermometer says my home office is 23.1°C right now, and I'm wearing jeans with a thick t shirt and a flannel shirt over it. I feel a bit chilly and my feet feel cold through thick socks. o_O
Getting temperatures comfortable is a challenge I know only too well. During my decade in Asia I was daft enough to go as far North as Changzhou (Jiangsu) for a year- lovely summer, but a horrid cold winter, and neither a spring nor an Autumn to speak of! Spring was one Tuesday. Monday I went to...
Three months sounds about right, as it got cooler in the evenings. I found I could wear shorts in the daytimes there quite comfortably for all but 2 weeks in the year I was there!
If you're going to add in UK, Ireland and Iceland you need to add in 3/4 of the rest of Europe too!
I spent all year in Thailand this year, and have no idea how some of the locals there manage to wear leather jackets. Back in the UK briefly, and Germany in a few weeks. Not sure how I'll feel...
I was impressed when I visited the leather shops and workshops in Guangzhou with a friend of mine who buys and exports the stuff. If you demand it, and pay enough, their work can be excellent. If you want to pay peanuts... don't expect much.
Wingspan is usually an inch greater than height. I'm 6'1 and my wingspan is 6'3.5. My cousin is 6'5 with a ludicrous 7'2 wingspan.
I don't think your measurements seem unusual, though the shoulder measurement is hard to compare to anything. You're a boxy shape that would suit lots of regular...
I suspect people might be inclined to think you're not being serious with this thread. You post pictures of a jacket that is too big and ask if it looks too small, and you say the chest is too tight yet you included a photograph showing how much excess material there is in the chest?
