Sorry for the double post. Tapatalk is acting up again.
Wearing my re-shaped Canadian Stetson 3X today for a run across the border to pick up some American Stetson’s!

Would be great to have one of the first, but there is also something great about having one from ‘the end of an era’ so to speak. Great 100

I spent a bit of time searching for hat block information and didn't have a ton of luck. I was mostly trying to find out what block was used for vintage OR's. That being said I didn't ask in any thread. I bet Rick would respond in the Phoenix thread if you asked what blocks to keep an eye out for.
Haha, good story. She's got some brass.
It is in fact a boy. He arrives early January. Wyatt is still the number one contender. I think Wyatt Williams has a good ring to it. My wife likes Henry, which means he would also be Hank Williams, that's alright with me.
I was going to DM these but it won't let me so I guess I will just post them. Some more for you Milandro. If you want to DM me your email address I can email you a copy of the model itself as well.
It's pretty similar to the hatblocks australia image, I used that in combination with measuring one of my Open Roads. Like I said the model is easily scalable. But it does scale the whole thing, making the brim flange wider. I can probably figure out how to make it scalable while maintaining the...
This might make more sense, 2D view of the side profile of the flange block. Like I said something I just spent 10 minutes on. I don't really have occasion to do any radius or curved measurements. I would have to look up how to do that with my program. Any work done like that is typically with...
I made a quick attempt as I was working on sketchup all day. This would be for one of my 7 3/8 Long Oval hats. The model is scalable but it also scales up the brim width with it which technically would change the flange if my math is correct, which is debatable.
If I have the dimensions of the internal oval and the width of the flange brim as well as the overall height of the flange itself I can easily make a 3D model.

Sorry Bob, I cost you a few extra dollars.. Was going for this one but another opportunity came up so I had to spend my funds elsewhere. Definitely an interesting hat, and I'm happy it's going to a lounger. Excited to see it when it arrives!
Thanks Greg, This one has a decent story too. Found it on a 'local' for sale site where my in-laws live in Nova Scotia. The mother in law brokered the deal for me, and in good maritimer fashion had a 3 hour visit over coffee and snacks with the complete strangers who sold it to me.
I finally had time to change up the shape on this sugar white Canadian Stetson. Boy I’m grateful for the lounge and the schooling I get here. My original thought of cutting this brim down would have been a travesty.

Thanks Randy, I'm pretty fond of it. But as the hat gods would have it of course something very interesting came to pass right after it arrived..
I love a good green hat, and that's certainly one of them.
