At the Outlets a couple weeks ago, doing "back to school" shopping for my wife (teacher) I found these at the Allen Edmonds outlet... $375 retail, I think $129 in the outlet... Normally these are a plain leather sole, but this pair was a special order with a rubber overlay (still leather sole...
Hi Ladies!
Something that comes up from time to time between my wife and I. I tend to like spending a lot of $ ($100-300) on a pair of quality shoes that I expect to last a lifetime, look great and be comfortable. Allen Edmonds is my "go to" for USA made, recraftable, and comfort, but I...
Interesting topic, I JUST picked up a pair of Allen Edmonds Fifth Street (nice match to my Fifth Avenue, no?) from the outlet for ~$120
Interestingly the ones I got have a rubber overlay (leather sole with rubber grip portion). According to the salesman these were apparently a customer order...
Hello all!
Wondering if anyone has recommendations on classy, yet not outrageously priced scotch glasses. I haven't had much luck looking them up online.
Is it called something other than a scotch glass?
Also, does anyone know of a complete list of what type of glass goes with various...
Not a Lady A fan at all... if they come on the radio I switch channels. Not that I think they're bad musicians, just don't care for the music.
Miranda seems to be the real deal for sure.
AJ is another of the "good ones". Garth is a mixed bag..
As far as newer, I like a lot of Brad Paisley, and oddly enough Taylor Swift, though I think she's more pop than country.
Miranda Lambert is pretty decent too.
Well, therein lies the problem. My current umbrella was a gift from my soon to be parents-in-law, and was supposed to be "a really nice one". I'm sure I'll get over it eventually, but I'd feel bad replacing it.
Yea, I really don't like "pop" country... Rascal Flatts, Keith Urban, etc.
I'm a big fan of the Outlaw variety (Cash, Jennings, Jr., DAC, etc), and Western. Plus the sub-genre "Texas" country (Pat Green, Ray Willie Hubbard (the wiley llama), Gary P Nunn, Jerry Jeff Walker, etc)
Well you got me there... but I listen to both kinds of music Country and Western.
So what's our arechetype for country? The King himself?
Or maybe part of the Royal Family?
Well I just moved to the area. I listened to a bit of his music last night after reading this and... not really my style. I'm more of a Johnny Cash guy. Though I'll often be found cruising a long with some Sinatra, Armstrong, Fitzgerald, Charlotte Church, AC/DC, there's really no telling...
Bingo!
The problem I have with umbrellas is... I don't have a great one. If there's any wind at all it just flips inside out, plus I have to figure out what to do with it when I go inside somewhere. I usually don't feel the need for any hat protection, especially in snow etc, I usually wear...
While I admit it's not disimilar, I hardly think of him as the archetype of a country singer... Besides the fact that I *LIKE* country music, and I've never heard of him. This is more my view of country singer
To add to all the "Indy" comments... Today I walked into work wearing
1)dress shoes
2)khaki trousers
3)blue button up dress shirt
4)tan corduroy sport jacket
5)Stetson dark brown fedora
One of the people asked me if I was trying to look like a country singer...
