Interesting. I'm 10D in Iron Ranger and Moctoes, but also 10 in Lucchese Ropers. You said these are fitting you a little big though? If you're usually a 9.5 in IR and Mocs, maybe that's why.
Let me see if I can can get some more sizing references. Might hit you up if they don't move before...
Oh man, these are sweet. I was just in Austin and was trying to get to their shop to try stuff on. I ended up at Heritage Boot and bought a pair there and just had to put a pin in it.
If I was confident about the size, would be really tempting. Chisos getting a lot of positive press. You...
Trouble spots. The throat latch was moved and you can see stitch holes from previous spot. Can't see with collar folded over, only if popping up collar and latching close, and even then, it's pretty faint.
Sleeves were opened up some how. You can see a v shape pattern of where the sleeves...
Measurements. Sleeves as noted are on the shorter side, to military spec so sleeves don't get caught while working. The shoulders droop over (you can see in my fit pics) to compensate some. They hit me just about the wrist bone, maybe slightly below. It's not going to be motorcycle style...
Bunch more photos, but not sure how long this will last. I've gotten a handful of messages about it. In the interest of time, going to post all the photos here, but obviously I'll respect the order in which I received the messages.
First off some killer grain shots:
Interest check on this one. I got to keep purging jackets for sanity sake. Can't keep stuff just because or for that one day or one outfit or one vacation trip or whatever LOL.
It's an older model and definitely had some good and long wears by previous owner. Leather is gorgeous...
It's Aero Sheene, FQHH. Might actually be a good fit for you. I'll ping you for sure next couple weeks. I got something incoming (even after I swore no more). If that fits, something has to go LOL.
It's a racer with an ornamental shirt collar :)
I think the main problem is they market the Sheene/Cafe Racer as being for V shape body type. While it's true the waist does taper, I think having broad shoulders causes problems with this jacket. It's a better fit for a lankier sort of body and...
The love hate I have with this one. Probably my most evolved jacket. I've literally beaten it to break it in, I'd say 85% there. At least 10 shades of brown in various nooks and crannies. But the CXL isn't very forgiving on this paterrn. Probably need a size up or lose 10 pounds to be...
This is so nice. And I have the same exact issue. I needed a 42. The chest is ok, but the neck size and strong taper to waist make it very snug. I'm same size as you, so probably works best for someone in the 170 lbs range at our height. It's loosened up some with time, but I don't find...
aint going to lie, it was an acquired taste. Fits kind of weird. Got it wet a couple times, playing around with the cinches, etc. This one needs a light sweatshirt underneath to fill it out, otherwise with Tshirt only doesn't really work for me. But when the stars align, it fits really nice...
that is nice. I agree, there's something off about the Bravestar sherpa. Might need a few washes to bring out full potential, but this one looks great and comfy right out of the gate.
damn snipers LOL. This is pretty close to my early 2000 Banana Republic I picked up few months back. But ain't going to lie, I still would have been tempted. Definitely have been plugging in this brand on the ebay search from time to time. Good score for sure.
