Adding my 2cnts as well. The jump in most Vansons from Medium to Large is huge. I'm also cursed with the needing a custom 42 or sticking to models that were patterned in numerical sizing where its a stock option. Though, jumping to 42 from 40 or Medium often adds a lot of back length and waist...
Either can I! Its an amazing Vanson. And a really nice batch of Z150 which has a bit more sheen / wax to it than comp. IMO closest vanson leather to CXL. The pit might be deceivingly small but the way the action back gussets are designed, it allows a lot more room than most similar styles.
Untagged 70s Schott Brown CR. Size 42. Really nice grainy hide which has me believe it’s a Schott Bros era / bull label perfecto era jacket. Triple marked talon main zip and box. Lining has some holes / discoloration but jacket is solid. $150 shipped in US PP FF. Measures will follow but for now...

Replied to your PM before I saw these. Pics. Actually looks great on you for casual wear! For me it was strictly bike duty but you fill it out. Probably the most beast mode CR Ive ever come across and from a heavy duty vanson comp weight batch. On a side note, I just ordered a 42 Royale Enfield...
Theres always the "not as described" if it ends up being truly brown / not black, and or doesn't fit! Also have this one on the way, which is definitely Black and I know will fit. I think my June jacket splurge is done until I sell some more of mine.
