I think it looks good with the shirt cuffs taking up the space for the lack of length in the jackets sleeves. Would an " extended" storm cuff look silly on this style of jacket? I've had similar issues and thought it might work if tastefully done?

I applaud your perseverance. I'm still learning to be patient and to roll with the " hit and miss" of look and fit. They are definitely beauty jackets, so much style from any angle.
Very true. I guess you can't just wear a fashion piece from the past without at least attempting to accommodate with other items to match. I've started to go down the rabbit hole with shoes and hats; best I hold off on pants for now or my wife might pack her bags! Lol
