That is my fav zip ever. I have an original 30s Talon just like it that I am saving to have put into the right jacket for me. For a 80+ yr old zip it functions flawlessly. Thanks for the photos, and again freaking sweet jacket.
I have seen a few of these huge pull tab Talons before, I think...
Anyhooos, wanted to share a few photos and thank Ricky again. Here are a few fit pics... I will need to loose a few pounds to fit it well (as I am sucking the muffin in a bit in the photos). Letting it all hang out looks a little ponchy.. I spare you guys the fat kid photos.
Recently received a fresh jacket from Ricky Sinaga here on the forum. Not that I was in the market for another cafe jacket but... I have no will power and cave easily to new leather purchases.
I was not to be disappointed. The leather is butter soft, almost too much so for riding gear...
With temps in the 40s again up here I get to break out the warmer weather leathers again. Took the GW J100 out today and went out to the Anchorage Fur Rendezvous Fest, happening downtown. Everyone was dressed to the nines in furs... would fit in better with the crowd in a sheepskin today.
Interesting detail. IMHO it just feels balanced and placed well inside the stitch lines. Had to check and see how it was on my GW and sure enough it sits nestled right in the middle, with enough leather tab to grasp and pop the snap.
Have to completely agree. "Offense" is a trap word that has become something we are expected to bow to. It is up to the individual to control their emotional response. Offense is something one takes, it is not given. All that said if you do not like someones stance on an issue don't patron them.
Depends on the company but I will say that my B6 is an inch or two longer than my B3. Both are tagged the same size but from different makers.
What company are you thinking of going with?
I have a redskin that is almost identical in construction and color but a different AC Order Number. Everything on yours looks to be an original. In fact, the order number of this B3 is one of the more commonly found redskins and usually seen in good shape as the early redskin tanning process...
I really like 'em but I think their Dodgeville is more up my alley. Either way great American made boots... from my old stomping grounds (pun intended).
