The jacket is still in great condition, the scuffs you see only seem to be surface level. I see no apparent cracking or dryness of the leather. The jacket has broken in beautifully, it'll probably be very soft and comfortable to wear. It will most likely have a great drape because of how broken...
I would say I'm a size 32 nowadays, even though I still stubbornly force my way into size 31 jeans. The Vansons I can get on if I really suck in my Covid induced gut, and they fit super snug. I think the 35 will work for you, but be prepared for a snug fit. Best thing to do is go by...
I recently scored a pair of these in size 32 on Vinted, 110 euros. Absolute steal of a find, and these pants are fantastic. They do run a tad small though, so that's something to keep in mind.
Never heard of fake Vansons, is that a thing? The seller seems to have a fine rating. As far as the label goes, it could just be a misprint/shobby stitchwork. Leather quality can vary heavily, and these pics haven't been taken in the best lighting with the best camera available.
I really hope...
While it is a gorgeous jacket, IMO it is way overpriced. You can get a custom Langlitz tailor made for under $2000 in a variety of leather options, including their heavyweight cowhide which will probably be plenty heavy for most people. I don't think any custom leather option is worth paying...
I contacted the seller. Back length is 22.5", sleeves are 25.5", pit to pit looks to be 19", but not entirely sure judging by the picture I was sent. Gorgeous jacket. If not for the small chest size, I'd join the bidding war that is sure to emerge.
The C2 has an inside label! The Highwayman, however, does not. It looks pretty old. The patina is amazing, and the jacket is completely broken in. It got posted in the Finds and Deals thread a couple weeks ago, just knew I had to have it.
I'll send a bunch of inside label numbers to Vanson...
Since I've always liked the idea behind this thread, and it's been a while since I posted an update, I figured now was the right time to show off the current family.
Newly acquired Vanson Highwayman, very nice vintage condition; vintage Vanson C2 that is in new condition compared to the...
My vote goes to CXL, as I am a huge fan of the way it ages, the amazing color variances (especially in the brown CXL), and the incredible smell. So then the important question is, do you want the very badass black aging to grey to brown over the years (does require some dedication for any real...
