It's my favorite to, the lapels, buttons and buttoned sleeve makes it really nice. The thing with the sleeves is what I really like about both M-1943 and M-1951. In the M-1965 the sleeves are foldable and attached with velcro instead of buttons, making it a bit bulky.
Yeah, they do! The jacket at the bottom is – as mentiond above – a US Army M-1943. The jackets has buttons instead of a zipper, wide lapels and a hidden drawstring in the waist.
The jacket is in really nice condition, still issued but as near a nos piece you can come. The fit is unfortunately a...
No it's not, but i've read that some sailors put wax on their jacket to make it more waterproof. The top layer is called jungle cloth and is denslely woven and double faced.
Your post is overwhelming and it for sure made my eyes water. Thank you very much for sharing your store and your pictures. This is quality content at its best.
Field jackets is awesome as well. I currently have a M-43, M-51 and a M-65 in my closet and I will post that later on. They sure are som durable jackets.
Thank you, that's a much appreciated comment. You are right, this is way to warm. Have you ever considered a nice safari jacket? I have one, in beige, that I use all the time when the weather is warmer. Even though they are completely different jackets, they still work in a similar way. Color...

This is an early version, from...
The zipper is original and the jacket is in a really good condition. No holes, no rips and everything works just fine. This model doesn’t have a hidden hood and the sleeves comes without isn’t foldable like the M65 does. These details makes the jacket – in my opinion – even more pleasing to wear.
Hi FL.
I'm looking for an US Army N-1 Deck Jacket, size 40/42 in good condition and I'm will pay a fair amount for a good example. Real McCoy's repro is also interesting.
Best wishes

Bottom - Heavily worn raw LVC 501 (1955)
Paired with white Jack Purcell. This is about as comfortable as it gets.
In my mind, if you study the mytologi around the word sport associated to this jacket - or a classical sports jacket - I think you will find connections to sports like golf, cricket and polo etc. I don't think you necessary wore this type of jacket on the course, more like to the course. And...
Thanks! Here's the cool story about the jacket.
