As mentioned above: you can easily form your collar if you use water.
Out it on a wide hanger, dampen the leather and form the collar the way you like. Let it hang over the night.
I did this with my RMC Steinbeck and it changed the whole look.
I had a price set at first, but after looking at the price point for a new one, I will try try the market for a possible trade at first (even though it’s a long shot).
No worries! I'm not sure I would call it thicker lining; it's more fair to call it more dense and warmer, compared to J-24. I actually choosed this over J-24, just because the wool lining doesn't build as much as the rayon padded lining.
