Yeah, I was just going to ask Schott if I can order a small and return the XS if I like the small better. The last day for me to return the XS is the 9/17, so I’m going to ask if they’d make an exception. I should’ve done this sooner.
Yes, it’s lambskin. Does lambskin stretch?
I got the size chart from Schott, and the body length is actually the same between the XS and small. The sleeve length is just marginally longer on the small (25 1/4 vs 25 5/8). However, the cross shoulder is an inch wider on the small…
Thanks for your feedback. I remember Schott saying that the sleeves and body length are about an inch longer between the XS and small, so that’s why I’m hesitant to go up to a small. The sleeves on the XS are already a bit longer than I’d like as it is.
My weight is pretty stable - I’ve been...
Yeah, I can definitely zip it up without issues and still have full range of motion. The jacket is supposed to be a slim fit, so I figured it’s supposed to look snug, but it’s good to get feedback. Thank you.
It is snug when zipped, but not at all restricting. I still have full range of movement. I was afraid that the sleeves and length may be too long if I go up to a small, so I’m glad you think so too. Thanks!
Hey everyone. I bit the bullet and got the P213 a little over half a month ago (haven’t worn it yet because it’s been warm around here). What do you guys think of the fit? It’s a size XS.
Thanks a lot for your insight!
Yes, their style naming convention is very confusing lol. That’s why I did some googling and ultimately made an account here to ask you fine folks. Like I would love to look into their special editions, anniversary editions, etc - I just don’t know which ones they...
I’m located in the US. And you’re right, it’s usually cheaper to buy locally, and that’s why I looked into Schott at first. But then I found out about Thurston Bros in Seattle, looked through their offerings, and really like the Aero jackets. Since they were similar pricing to Schott’s, I...
Gotcha, I figured as much. Also right after I asked this question, I found the section on their website explaining what Perfecto was, and yeah, pretty much their premium line. Thanks for your help.
Go
Gotcha. Yeah, it’s a little confusing. I assumed the P stood for perfecto…and then I saw other styles with perfecto in the name with a P in the style number, and even some style numbers with “per” in the style number, so I wasn’t sure.
I do agree that it is a lot of money, and I’m perfectly...
Ah, thank you, but unfortunately those don’t come in XS - I’m a pretty slim guy.
Also @Marc mndt you said the Schott jackets will be more comfortable - what do you mean? Like is their leather not as stiff at Aero’s or something?
Thanks a lot for your insight Marc. I’m aware the P213 is lambskin and I’m ok with it. This jacket would be used as a fashion piece anyway.
Regarding Schott’s premium jackets - how do you know which ones are premium? Is that what the P in the style name stands for?
Hi everyone. Sorry to bring back a nearly 2 year old thread, but I’m in the market for a leather jacket and I’m trying to decide between a Schott Raven P213 and an Aero STF Bootlegger. It seems as though the consensus back in 2019 is that a similarly priced Schott jacket won’t be as high quality...
