Well, I had a P613S, and it weighed 7.6lbs for me in a size Large. And HH121 purchased it from me, and he is probably the most focused on weight of a jacket than anyone I know (I can understand how it can be used as a metric) and I don't want to put words in his mouth but it weighed for him 7.4...
Consider the transition from high waist pants to low waist pants as well. The jackets made to a vintage standard may not have changed at all, but our perception of how they fit may have changed because our belts have moved.

You jacket is wonderful to see. Thank you for sharing. As others have said, the half belt back combined with the single D pocket and belt and epaulets scream special and technical.

I posted a couple in the "What jacket are you wearing today" thread back when I first received it. As of then, I have been wearing it everyday still, wanting it to really wear in as much as possible before posting a review. But review aside, I am very happy with my jacket and I enjoy wearing it.
I am certain that this is a Leathertogs functionality design. I don't know enough about jacket design and etc, but they obviously did not use an action back as one is understood today, but managed to achieve the same thing with their design.
Something to consider about the way this jacket fits, I see you mentioned "wide". And since I own a Centinela, which is on a similar construction on the back of the jacket, may make some sense.
