Mine are natural cxl as well. I'm between an 11D and 11E on the brannock with a high instep, and wear these in 9.5. The last is similar to Viberg's 2030/2060 last but with a less exaggerated almond toe shape.
The heel height on the Flat Heads is 1 1/4". Not sure what the convention is for measuring heel height but I am including the mid sole in that measurements. Wesco's are 1 3/4", and the half inch difference feel significant.
I've got a pair of the Flat Heads, they're fantastic. They have a lower heel which is more comfortable to walk in than higher stacks in my experience. What colorway are you looking at?
This is a great jacket, looks great on you. I've got one as well and love it. Its pretty neat you've got some fades started, I believe IH treats the denim on this jacket for fade resistance. The jacket is so cleanly put together, my only wish was that the pocket bags were sewn in completely so...
Major drag. Hope they get it straightened out. I've got some Viberg engineers coming in tomorrow and trying to find info on how to size viberg's has been tough. I just went with the advice I got from Standard and Strange using the Wesco Boss as a reference. Sounds like you got bad advice from...
It's definitely steel, I'd imagine they take rust resistance into account but I'm not sure its stainless. There are OSHA regs when it comes to footwear protection so the material described (steel, aluminum alloy, composite, etc.) is usually accurate.
Nice! I have the same pair, seconds as well. No issues I could find, and they make awesome beaters. The klondike leather (at least on the steel toed pair I have) is incredibly tough, far tougher than any other engineer I've worn.
Awesome boots, I have a similar IHxWesco in the same leather, it ages incredibly well. I've had luck adjusting pull on boots with insole, might want to give that a try before moving them along. I pulled out the leather insoles they come with and stenciled it onto thicker leather. You can also...
Just picked up a Majestic in size 42. The code I saw on their IG page is IN25, which worked for me. Might be they have separate codes to track which customers come from which platform.
Huh, funny angle. Different soles might account for the heel slip too, I have a pair of Role Club LTT and the soles are decently stiff. Could be once the sole breaks in the heel slips is mitigated.
I'm wearing 7400s right now and the midsole at the heel is even with the back of the heelcup, it seems like yours have the heelcup past the heel midsole. Were they like that before the relast?
I think a different scenario to think about is that Field goes the way of Eastman or Goodwear in a few years---steady price increase and/or massive wait times. Personally think the value here is quite good. High end leather offerings with at least Aero-level construction with a smaller needle...
