Just picked up these sample Lofgrens from S&S in brown horsebutt. Never tried on Lifgren engineers but was looking for a pair in something other than CXL. Fully lined in horsehide as well, might cut down wearable time in the heat though.
Thanks! I made it out of some first growth longleaf pine, which looks great until you cover it with boots. Having jackets out in the open lets me get a little more enjoyment out of them, especially when its 100+ out. I opted for plain steel because the rack holds a fair amount of weight, but I...
I made a rack that functions more or less the same as hanging jackets on a wall. No issues with sun fading, gathers a little dust over the summer but it takes a handful of seconds to brush off. My only concern with hanging jackets on a wall would be how much room it takes, as the system you've...
There some of their stuff on East West Apparel, on sale too. I picked up one of their caps, it's quite nice. Shipping from the UK is pretty backed up now though.
I picked up one of these very recently, absolutely love it. The unlined construction is cleanly done and and drapes wonderfully. Definitely getting some dye rub off on my fingers when buttoning it though, should go away with wear.
I grabbed a majestic in rust goat suede from Aero's stock clearing sale and its a fantastic hide. The smooth side collar is a great option as well, prevents that thrift store suede collar look.
Can't let this thread drop too far. I picked up some Mr. Lous from the Wesco seconds page. The reported issue was grain at the top of the shaft but I think it looks great. Screamin deal for a brand new pair of horsehide engineers.
Pretty sure this is legit. I remember seeing this pop up a while back on one of the forums.

Buffalo Exchange tag.
Lofgrens are so nice, and those black ones are wearing in fantastically. I had a trip to SF planned in April and was going to try on a pair of Lofgrens at S&S but looks like that's not happening. Whats the leather on the Eastman makeup?
The opening diameter is ~4 1/2", which is a half inch smaller than Wesco's 7400. I will say that because the Vibergs are shorter it makes the opening feel bigger as it's lower on the calf. I prefer a wider shaft in the heat though, breathes a lot better.
Yep, from the top of the midsole where it meets the upper to bottom where it touches the ground. Both the Flat Heads and Viberg come in at 1 1/4".
Pretty sure Selfedge still has black and natural flat heads in stock.
Some shots of the Viberg Engineers in waxed natural cxl. Standard & Strange gave excellent sizing advice, these fit like a dream. The scalloped rolled top and side seam give the boots a distinct western feel.
