With winter fast approaching I have been jonesin' for a new fleece to wear under my m/c jackets. I like the look of the Navajo style sweaters/fleeces. Anyone care to share some pics of theirs? Doesn't have to be Navajo if you have one that is somewhat unique.
Agree with Langlitz - one of the best I've used. Suprisingly another great condition/cleaner is Wesco Bees Oil - for leather boots but I have used it on a few jackets and it works great - it seems to darken the leather at first but that does not last once it "soaks" in.
Depends on if you get a custom Langlitz made or buy off the shelf. Off the shelf - the Columbia is a bit "blousy" but they do have side laces for adjustment. The Cascade is more form fitting and generally a tighter fit but no waist adjustment. Many 2nd hand offerings will be custom jackets...
Agree with Regius - on some Aeros the small arm-holes are a drawback - makes getting them on/off a bit of a chore - and cramps shoulder movement. My advice is to stick to your guns as to the fit you desire because the folks at Aero may try to convince you that they know best - I found out with...
I was skeptical also until I tried it - Orange - adds a very nice scent. The good thing is you spray a little on those bug spots wait a minute or so and wipe them off - works like a charm for a quick wipe down. Many "experts" will scoff but it works and I've yet to see any adverse effects from it.
"Lord grant me the serenity to accept the jackets I cannot change and to change the jackets I can and the wisdom to know the difference..."
Thank you for your support my friends - and your approvals - now I feel a little bit better about it. :) No, all kidding aside it is truly a fantastic...
Believe it or not Pledge works great for those quick cleanings - I've used it on many of my Langlitz jackets and pants, as well as other riding jackets with no adverse effects. Every so often wipe it down gently with a dish detergent in water (or use a leather cleaner) and then apply some...
Hi - here are some pics - this a Longshoreman in Cordovan with sheepskin lining, storm cuffs, one inner zipper and one inner button pockets (extras). Don't get me wrong - it is a beautiful jacket but the cordovan just doesn't do it for me although its difficult to capture the "true" color in...
I ordered a brand new Longshoreman from Aero in cordovan and to be honest I am somewhat disappointed with that color. I wish now that I had gone with brown or black. I suppose a lot of it has to do with the particular jacket style but in this case, for me it just doesn't cut it. Just an FYI -...
I think you should add to the challenge by sleeping in it also. ;)).
I wore my Aero Dirt Rider (very heavy horsehide) after washing it (gentle cycle with Woolite Darks) for a whole day to try to get it to conform more to my body and then I slept in it overnight also - not a very comfortable...
Hi - I added more into about sizing and fit that may help you. Other than that you should go to the website and check the measurements he requires and compare. Hope this helps.
I am putting up this gorgeous pair of hand made Role Club engineer style horsehide boots for sale.
These were custom made for me by Brian the Bootmaker at quite an expense and waiting time. But I just have way too many boots and these do not get any foot time. Only worn a few times outdoors...
Thanks for the input Guppy - I edited the post and removed the "true size" and replaced with "tag size" - buyer should check the measurements to be sure it fits the way he would want by comparing to another jacket that fits him well. Cheers!
AERO of Scotland Motorcycle jacket in the traditional style. This one is FQHH - front quarter horsehide and is in great used condition - in fact almost like new - could use a bit of conditioner perhaps if that is your wont. The leather is still somewhat stiff - the more you wear horsehide the...
