Here is a stingy and short little Foxhound that I just picked up. I wouldn't normally go for such small proportions, but i just really dug the houndstooth ribbon. This one did need a replacement of the sweatband. The Liner is still in pretty good shape though. Also posted this in the School of...

Also posted this in the Champ thread for good measure. Not in too bad of shape, I dare say that I will only replace the feathers on the badger plume and probably call it good.
Note the sculpted lines in the brim. This is similar something Tonak still produces.
This little fella just showed up on my door step. I have one with similar brim sculpting like this but it has worn down on the front of the brim, where as this one is in great shape. Could use a new feather but not too shabby.

I won't be able to un-see this TJones.lol
I am always telling the misses that you look so serious in your photos, but now it makes sense. You have to stay up all night taking out revenge on teenagers.
Check in the Photos of hatter tools tread and the Conversion Coral tread. Lots of hobby hat maker tools and ideas there. A good foot tolliker and heavy iron is all you really need. If you're not the make it yourself type, a few of our fellow members have offered tollikers from time to time or...
Since your always complaining about the short brims Joao, I just might have found one for you. How about a 7" brim??
Found em on Etsy
I am not quite sure you could walk through a doorway with one, but I thought I might approve.:D
Wow Alan, thank you for the compliment. It is threads like this one that really inspire me. Some of the hats you guys have are just aweome!
I am currently working on a pounced blue heather that was directly inspired by this page. Perhaps it might show up here in a week or two.
Awesome hats guys! Glad to see this old thread getting some new additions.
I love the two natural tones Alan and that Dobb's is excellent. Very close in color to one Garrett has here for a rebuild. Such a cool color that I keep telling him that I am just going to keep it.
Great close ups...
Here is a new one that showed up today
It had a textured brim which is interesting. The ridges have worn away in the front of the brim where I assume it was handled the most or perhaps ironed to smooth it out at some point. Either way, It has some really nice colors and the heatered felt is...
Here is a recent acquisition. Mallory ten heathered Tyrolean
The sweatband is rotting out and will need to be replaced, but I got it for a steal, so I am happy with it.
Thanks for the kind words fellas. It has been a blast working on the new finishes, so I am glad they are being met with approval.
I would like to say that I owe a big thanks to Garrett and Steve ( MayserWegener ) for being a heck of an inspiration toward the new long hair finishes, both in...
