Can't wait to see your pair of Nick's. They are on my short list. I am torn between Wesco Jobmasters and the Nick's. I have a pair of Wesco's harness boots already. I already know about the quality there. I thought it was an easy decision to go with the jobmasters, then I came across Nick's.
I...
I have the Bravestar 21oz. Be ready for a battle. lol. They are crazy stiff in the beginning. I had to take a screwdriver and work with the button holes just to make them function. After a few wears they loosen up a bit.
I wear a 38 in Levi's relaxed fit (550?). They were a little on the loose...
I think you should keep the baby pocket. You have a use for it. I think you would regret the decision of removing it. I think this jacket is gonna be awesome. I can't wait to see it come to life.
Thanks for the review of the Nicks boots Dude. They are on my radar. I am looking for a heavy duty lace up work boot. I am torn between Nicks and Wesco jobmasters. I want to buy one and done. More worried about fit, durability, and comfort than finish/neatness.
^^^ I am actually going with that concept with my custom JL. I got the Idea from Aero's King of the Road jacket. I don't really like the look of 3 twisted belt loops in the back. Also don't want the studs wearing out/scratching seats and chairs (I'm not sure if they do or not).
@navetsea, I am with Jmax. I love the design. I am a pocket guy. I would try and keep the little horizontal pocket, especially if it has a purpose. I would keep the belt also. It just adds to the M/C vibe.
@Jin431, Just wondering if you received your Bravestar jeans yet. I noticed you had some salvage jeans on in the boot thread. I didn't want to hijack the thread. I was curious about your thoughts?
edit: Sorry Jin, I just got caught up with the WJAYWT thread. I see you talk about your denim in...
Thanks for taking the time to write an excellent review. Jacket fits you great and looks like a warm jacket for you guys "up north"(just a little Ohio State/Michigan dig) lol.
Only childs play. lol
Can't wait to see the big boy. That thing is going to be something else. On a whole other level. Never before seen on the lounge.
@TheDonEffect, Great jacket man. The fit is perfect and will only get better as it breaks in. What a large, magnificent piece of horsehide on the back! That is a statement in itself. Hope to see more pics as it breaks in.
A great company to start with. What weight did you start out with? I jumped in with the 21.5oz. They were very intimidating at first. They are starting to SLOWLY settle down. I ordered a pair of 15oz cone mills. Just got them this weekend, I think they will be a piece of cake. I think I have the...
