I am wanting to add a few patches to my new Perfecto after I break it in a little. I always thought patches were sewn on, I didn't think they were glued on. I also was wondering how they were sewn on the sleeves. I thought there must be some kind of trick to it. Do most of the "patched up...
That's what my jacket was made from. Not something your flagship leather should look like. Like double H said before, you don't go to a high end steak house to get the salad.

Rock on my friend!! That jacket looks awesome. There is just something about Lewis Leathers and Schott. I hope to own a Lewis someday. It just feels a little different wearing an iconic brand, thinking about all the people throughout history who saved up to get one. You wear it well.
When...
SADLY, I have to agree with this statement. It is really hard to watch Vanson go down the tubes. Just look at the pics double H posted. The leather is even worse in real life. Almost like a rubber coating. Their customer service was starting to improve with Constantine, now I don't know where...
I was hoping I was wrong. A plastic Zipper on a Vanson is just not right. Both my Vanson's had the plastic stop. I was disappointed at first, but it really wasn't a big deal.
Oh Boy! I really hope they can straighten things out in Falls River. Such a shame to watch a once great jacket producer die a slow agonizing death. Hopefully they can turn it around in time.
I really hope it has gotten better. My E from 2018 was complete garbage. It was so bad I was afraid to sell it in the classifieds for $100. I gave it to my younger brother who knows absolutely nothing about premium leather jackets. When I gave it to him he asked, "is this even leather?" lol...
Cleveland weather. I got to test 2 ends of the temperature scale with my new 618. Last weekend rode in 80 degrees with the lapels opened and the jacket did great, no ballooning at all. This evening took it out fully zipped in 45 degree weather with just a t shirt under. The 618 sealed out all...
Just took my 618 out of the box this morning. I am pretty happy with the fit so I removed the tags. The steerhide is rather stiff. My chest measures 44 these days and I went with a 44 this time. So far it works great on the bike, but it needs some serious break in. I had red marks on my arms...
I just got done working a 12 hour shift and was gonna see if anyone got a new jacket today and BAM! Ads EVERYWHERE!! I went straight to this thread to see if I was the only one. I guess not. Adds right in the middle of posts!!! The forum is UNUSABLE like this! I hope this can be fixed.
I had them on my club vest. I thought it looked really bad when the laces were over extended on the side. Almost like you were wearing your little brothers vest.
I always opted for vest extenders. They add about 4 or 5 inches and allow you to wear your vest over your jacket to display your...
I am so glad you stuck with the first part of this jacket saga. Can't wait for the second part (the break in). What a beast! You know that jacket is gonna leave a mark!
Kinda bummed. Was hoping to compare Schott horsehide to steerhide today. I ordered a new 618 through Legendary and received a 10% discount with no sales tax added. Jacket came to $697. They rave about super fast shipping with Fedex on their website. Ordered it Tuesday evening planning on getting...
