Overcast, dull and muggy again here this morning ( and were not even going to talk about the mosquitos lol) Time to brighten the morning with the turquoise Hemp Stratoliner
For something like this, a large flat (CLEAN) countertop or cutting board, covere4d with a towel, A good Steam Iron, and a press cloth or light towel is about all you need. DONT iron directly on the hemp. DONT try to iron into shape.... steam the brim up good and damp, lay it on a flat surface...

Obviously better than Seattle proper these days, but back in my Washington days, even the woodsy areas were bad...Ill bet Ive broken 3 or 4 shock absorbers on the washboard road going up to Mowich Lake on Ranier lol
Nice mailman brought me my latest ebay aquisition.. A nice Peterson 302 smooth briar. I somehow managed to lose TWO nice Peterson pipes during my retirement move, and I just now found a decently priced replacement ( for anyone wondering.. its filled with my old favorite... Cornell and Diehl...
May have a little break in the weather for at least part of the day... Taking one of the converted former cowboys out for coffee this morning. It should be fine in case of a stray shower
Looking at all the 40s and 50's ads Ill have to say that one of my grandfathers was the $7 type and the other was the $12.50 type. ( farmer vs engineer)

Nice travel hat! Ive carried one of the stick on 3m coat hangers and a couple spare adhesive strips on trips. Stick it to the seatback, or overhead bin and when the plane lands, just pull the little tab on the command adhesive strip and it comes right off
Another 1942 Stetson ad framed today. Interesting that it came packaged inside a cool scrapbook cover with a gold embossed Pirate (I love all things Pirate! ) An ebay bonus package! Pirate, sword, treasure chest, but alas no peg leg lol
