I can send more detailed pics of it. A actually have no idea who made this and when. But I would be thankful for any more insight.

My vintage college jacket that I bought in Canada 4 and a half years ago in a thrift store. Have worn this a lot before getting my J-21. It's actually a bit too small on me but I love it anyway. The quality is really good. Nothing is broken in this jacket, nothing, not even a flaw in the lining...
Don’t know about originals but yours looks great in length. But after all it’s you who has to feel comfy in it. It’s way too much money, if you just don’t feel comfortable in it.
"There are no bad looking people, just bad looking jackets."
You could alter that specifically for this thread to:
"There are no bad looking people, but only ill fitting leather jackets."

Maybe there is a way of getting the sleeves shortened and still having the possibility of going back to two more inches just in case. Maybe ask the next maker, As I understand it's David Himel, about it.

It all depends on the rise of the trousers you are wearing. High rise, no problem with 23". Low rise, you'll need another 2" at least.

Yeah, I would also go for nylon or mixed blend threads. Cotton is time accurate but it may tear easier. However, I think there are differences there as well.
I can only say that if I was looking for an A-2, there was no other option for me but Good Wear. Other models and jackets, maybe Thedi...
