Wow, it is lightweight even with that heavy duty straw liner. Classic for sure.

1997 O’Farrell with 4 1/2” brim and 6 1/2” open crown. Really like the crease on this one. More pics in the O’Farrell thread: https://www.thefedoralounge.com/threads/ofarrell-hat-company.106861/post-3115944

    O'Farrell Hat Company

Here is a Signature Collection Handcrafted in Colorado hat from 1997 with what looks like a $526 price tag. There is no indication of the quality of the felt but it feels like high content Beaver. I found a hat online that looks like a twin that is described as 100X Beaver and a ZZ Top...

Ebay Hats: Victories, Defeats, Gripes & Items of Interest

EDIT: Oops, this is a thrift shop buy— not an ebay hat. Sorry for the wrong posting. Quite possibly the dirtiest hat I’ve ever tackled. Some hatters jump through hoops to get this level of distressing! Did I wash away $100s of patina?

I don’t consider myself a hat expert like others in the lounge but IMO the Dobbs is a solid hat that looks good on you and it could be a good everyday type of hat for you. The Knox is a whole different level of style and panache. It looks fantastic on you as is but it’s quality and...

    The Resistol Roundup

Here is a “Marshall” with a red liner and an original price of $16.95. The moldable felt made it easy to add some mule kicks. I was the only bidder on the hat and I thought it was worthy of rescuing.

What Hat Are You Wearing Today ?

Out with my son for a cool drink in my 10X Stetson OR. It is nice to be back home after a long road trip through Washington, Oregon and Idaho. It was nice and cool (and a bit rainy) in Portland and Eugene but was downright apocalyptic in eastern Oregon and southern Idaho with all the heat...

What Hat Are You Wearing Today ?

The Moose River is a nice hat and I have a couple that I rotate with my Akubras when fly fishing. Looks like you scored one of the better ones with a real leather hat band. Congrats!
