This was my Thedi the first day after I bought it. I don't have any recent pics now that it's a little more broken in.
It is definitely wearable. Yes it looks expensive. But, the key is it fits. That's number #1 for any clothes. I'm only 5'7" 165. I can't wear things that are too big or I...
I probably should also mention that the owner will either be very responsive on email, answering questions and asking for your details or completely silent for a few days. She didn't get back to me right away, but then asked for measurements, colors, etc. and needed a prompt reply. Then, she...
A couple winters ago I bought a rollneck from Ó’Maille in Galway Ireland. They make the most traditional Aran sweater around, with hand knitting done by women in their homes. Each sweater is MTO (a true cottage industry). I went with oatmeal, but many of the other colors look great too. I think...
I usually find black leather too stark, but this is really nice. It's probably the first black jacket I've ever been drawn to immediately. And, the collars are great. When naked, the collar has the perfect roll too. Just perfect.
I think if it feels too tight under the arms it will always be something that bothers you. Sure it will mold, but it will never expand. If you lift or gain any weight by getting older, it will be too tight and you will never reach for it. Get a bit more comfort. It's worth the $350 and 3-4...
Hard to say with the length bc you didn't show a pic with it open to see where your belt line falls.
I agree you should let the chest out a little. The top pic looks uncomfortable under the arms. Also, you may need more than 1" if you want close the back in a static standing position. A key...
Call Carrie and get a fit jacket in the model you want. You can either keep the fit jacket from her stock if you like the way it fits, or you can get it custom made by Thedi with any changes you need. I did this.
Based on my general body measurements Carrie sent me a fit jacket in the style...
There is also Espresso buffalo, which is more chocolate brown than reddish brown. It's also hand waxed and reliced, however it's not hand dyed as far as I know. It has gradations of color as well.
Looks great. Love the color of the shearling collar. I would worry about cream getting dirty. Also, it sometimes looks too light next to darker colors. But, that medium brown looks perfect, especially with the brass hardware. Just a great combination.
It's veg tanned. I should have said it's Espresso - that's the official color name, considering how many brown colors Thedi works with. I was looking for something chocolate brown and this color nailed it. I think it's the same model. Thurston calls it the Niko. Thedi only uses a multi digit...
I think Aero has a russet horse color that looks similar to the Hyundai, but not in smooth calf. I assume the car seats are calf because they are so grain and blemish free, although they could be corrected grain/sanded to make them more uniform. It looks like fine shoe leather rather than...
Carrie posted pics on the Thurston thread of my jacket that just arrived today. Below are a couple quick snapshots. Espresso buffalo is just outstanding, exactly what I wanted colorwise and the grain too. The smell is heavenly. Tweaked some of the measurements to make the chest and shoulders...
Just got it today right around the time you posted. The color of the buffalo is exactly what I wanted and the smell is overwhelmingly wonderful.
Such a spot-on fit. Thanks for all of the help. The fit jacket process proved a huge success.
A couple quick snapshots.
I suspect it's not our computers. Instead it's likely the download bandwidth of our home networks. I just let mine sit for 30 seconds and it's usually good to scroll.
