Corduroy for the arms may be a good choice but the cord is stiff in the beginning and might restrict your arm movements a little. It does not grab the under clothing. You may also consider moleskin, alpaca or fleck tweed for the arms. I would choose moleskin if I were you.
Cordovan steerhide...
Shearling lined steerhide or horsehide civilian jackets would not be lined with shearling in the sleeves. But B6, B3, Anj4, D1 and RAF are all lined with shearling everywhere. That will be the difference.
I am sorry that I forgot to mention that Dr H is Dr. Ian. He is a real gentleman and very helpful, communicative and will answer your questions about sizing and etc.
@tmitchell59, before I have read here you brought to my attention in your video that connelly steerhide smells rose. I would have bought that jacket if only that dog had not bitten the sleeve.
@regius, I am almost as tall as you and weigh as much as you do. You can not decide depending on only weight and height values whether it fits or not. 23" ptp and 19" shoulder measurements are good to get a good trim fit if you have 44" chest and that back length is okay if you're 182 cm tall...
Could you write some measurements? Ptp, shoulder, sleeve, back? I can't afford as much as £430 but if it suits we might agree on some price reasonable :) .
Sorry for going off-topic.
I agree that LW shipskin is top notch, craftmanship is almost perfect. But to guarantee that it is the best all around, since how many years have you been dealing with sheepskin jackets and how many other sheepskin jackets have you handled or have, to come to this conclusion?
