@geedee
I'd say it depends sooooo much on the camera and lighting. In his post I can see at least 3-4 shades, last one (outside, fit pic) being quite close to the one you just posted.
Also "I was told this first batch came in lighter (in thickness weight) and also the color is a bit different...
Maybe not the best idea to put your full address and full contact info with full name out there. But it's your choice.
Mentioning more important things like the leather used or lining or inside pocket configuration would be much more useful.
Curious about the replacement as well. Unless they do it for free I would not even contemplate sending back to Aero for another #5 zipper. Would definitely upgrade it to a #8 or #10 depending on the jacket size.

I would highly recommend adding at least shoulder gussets if that would not cost too much extra.

The Pinnacle profit @Canuck Panda has spoken and revealed the truth! All hail the great panda!
So nice to finally see and hear about this leather, thank you for the initial reveal!
@ROOK ALLURES
Another thing to note is that you will get an upcharge based on what leather you pick. It is general consensus here that thick premium goat is the top choice from 5*. And it has no upcharge. Steerhide costs more. Horsehide even more. And I got a small charge for asking to look for...
@ROOK ALLURES
My order was a fully custom project. I sent them a lot of photos and measurements. They had to create the pattern from scratch / from photos.
Total cost (with shipping) was ~350$.
Now you can get it for ~200$ ...
A cordovan Maxwell/Moonshiner would be awesome, but the CXL leather might be a bit too thick for really warm or really cold weather. Movement restricting too. And buttons don't go too well with windy conditions. But they do look very classy especially in cordovan!
There's quite a few similar threads where people are asking for their "forever" jacket or "if you only had to have 1 jacket"..
Look around, lots of reading material there.
Aero and Kelso are leather jackets, which is very different from a wool pea coat.
If you really only want one jacket then...
Will use this opportunity to put this idea out there:
If your waist/stomach is narrower than your hips/belt - half belt designs work better.
If your waist/stomach is wider than your hips/belt - bottom hem cinch designs (like the mentioned Highwayman) work better.
By work better I mean form fits...
Personally I feel a certain fascination/nostalgia when I think about cartoon characters and how their wardrobe/clothes were always the same and were part of their identity. Not to mention the simplicity and consistency. These ideas tie into the "forever jacket" idea for me.
I also wanted to...
Regarding the inner pockets - the openings are made of folded leather, which means you basically have 4 layers of EXTRA bulk on top of the 2 layers of existing leather (front outer panel + front inner panel). The result is 6 layers of leather concentrated in a small space, which not only can be...
Looks great yeah, apart from the inner pockets ruining the front a bit. And I should have specified to skip the folds above the half belt.
Quite restricting in actual use though.
Needs more shoulder width and at least some kind of mobility gussets. Hard to reach down to tie my boots as is...
Regarding the Pakistan > EU taxes - they are quite flexible with playing around with package value and you can really minimize your losses if you play your cards right. Worked very well for me.
My jacket in waxed premium goat...
@handymike
You mean outer (handwarmer / chest pockets) pockets?
Hanging inside like sacks with the only attachment being the outside opening?
For inner pockets I would imagine leather on leather patch pockets.
I know this is more of a "share your favorite lining" thread, but I'll use it as a lining thread in general :)
As I haven't had enough jackets myself to provide any real opinion I'll just ask one more question:
What about unlined jackets?
Apart from the warmth aspect, what are the upsides and...
