Seems like you put in a lot of work with this one just to sell it afterwards? Not fitting how you would like, or what's the reason for selling? I'm thinking of getting the same jacket (just directly from SB) in the near future, but in much smaller size and custom measurements.
I was considering Bill Kelso when I was initially looking for brands/makers for my first proper leather jacket, but ruled BK out pretty quickly. Too many red flags for me.
Loved reading through this thread, it's a great example of why I love TFL in terms of fit checks. So many interesting comments and opinions. The jacket looks STUNNING in the photos. Would love to see how it looks now.
@Grayland Did the buyer cover the shipping? If so - what's the problem and why "done with international shipping"? Sure it's crazy overpriced, but it's for the buyer to decide whether it is worth it.
Thank you for the report! Big fan of Nicks, dreaming of having a pair of their boots one day. Very curious how their foray into the jacket world will go with this. Will be following. Please post interesting updates here if you can be bothered.
Simmons Bilt recently posted a lot of new Ready To Order/Wear jackets on their Outlet page, including the size 36 "Pacific" that I ordered and had to return because they messed up the measurements badly (and sent out without QC)...

Might eventually fit good if you are really dedicated and hit the gym hard enough, but definitely a bit too big as is. I have the same issue with my Vanson chopper :)
And there goes another one of your many many extremely useful and informative posts to my TFL bookmark collection :)
Thank you again for reassuring me @Canuck Panda
I'd highly recommend Simmons Bilt, but find a UK proxy who can check measurements and confirm with you before forwarding to you with low declared value. Some have had bad experiences with fit/measurements being off by a lot, better have some reassurance.
@Erule78
Congratulations, jacket looks fantastic. As long as it does not feel too tight around the waist the fit looks good as well.
This tobacco seems to have a lot less red undertones than I would expect, even under good lighting (last photo)?
@Observe
My 5* really came alive and molded to me noticeably after I got caught in a downpour and got totally soaked on purpose. Highly recommended during summer.
@Canuck Panda
I'm extremely flexible so I'm ready to pay that price for mobility.
Well my jacket was finished last week. They nailed all requested measurements, but the shoulders turned out much smaller than requested. We agreed to do a remake. Huge respect to Denny and Aero for making sure...
