You can ask me a question, any day of the week, I'm working every day, but I take some breaks as needed. It is no skin off my back, to help you.
Another block issue......I have a 7-1/8 #59 block. Marked 7-1/8, it produces a heavy 7-1/4, getting back to base measurement. Here, I really needed...
He is a little beyond, long oval actually. The hat shown, was built, long oval, and a long oval band block was tweaked to give me, the opening size, she requested. I fit the sweat to those specs, he should have a good fit.

This is incomplete work, but I'll show it for the reason, we had a chat about blocks on another thread. This block is marked 7-1/2. The first time I used it, I blocked this body and realized it was super big. Newbie, I set it all to the side, and go at it again, different block, new body. So I...
I have a long oval, that is size 7-7/8 LO and I can go down one size, 7-3/4 LO . I'm wondering from a consumer standpoint, which size, might sell quicker.
So amongst the bigger heads, here, I was curious, which would be the best build, to go with as I grow with some hats to post on ETSY...
Jim,
I appreciate that. And will follow that advice. I appreciate you taking the time to have conversion with me.

Hi David, it is Winchester, 100x Beaver in Dark Moss. It has been pounced down, and lured a few times. Getting the naked shot, it ain't easy. But that is "work bench". I do have a BLUEMAX, work station light, they have all the spectrum, of daylight. But there is that one hour window, morning or...
Does anyone have any input on my question? What might be the better build for a potential client 7-7/8 LO or 7-7/8 Regular?

I really appreciate your words Al. I have been gunshy, to post pictures myself. Sort of bitch slapped one day, by another hatter for posting, saying I'm bumping my thread. Called me in person. So I laid low and avoided any posting, except mainly my thank you statements for the most part.
I'd...
BIG HEAD QUESTION:
I have a question, this will help me decide something.
I have a body off a block. THE 7-7/8 LO band block fits it perfectly.
My question is, how I can best suit a big head, if he were shopping Etsy?
This hat can be 7-3/4 LO
The 7-3/4 regular oval will work fine also.
What...
Cindy - Daniel, here is a preview of your custom AlleyKat. More photos of the build are on my Instagram portfolio. The hats final weight, on this 100x beaver with 2-1/2 brim is 130.4 gms. Hope you enjoy this build, as much as I did, making it. I greatly appreciate you helping me, by taking the...
I don't think there is any semi-finished felt from Winchester. Those take a full pounce. However, Tonak you can buy "fully pounced" dress it, and send it off, or buy partially finished. IMHO it's all I can offer.

I'd think no, that sounds like a hat jack or stretcher. My question, are you building a hat and doing it proper? Do you want a nice clean sharp, brim break and for the opening to be sized correct? Then you buy what is needed to do things correct. I already laid that all out for you. Maybe look...
Cindy, we are near done. I'm ending the night, figuring my placements from a 40s ad.. Tomorrow this will be a complete hat. Have a good night, hope all is OK. Let Daniel know his Gran Torino is near.
