This hat is 100% Beaver, hand pounced and lured, no machines or palm sanders. Just my hand, the proper grit paper, and my feel. The color is Pecan. The vintage trim, is 3/8 inch and is made in the style of the vintage Stetson Open Road. My spin on a great old hat. The brim is bound by hand, no...
If you still need a ribbon, give me a shout. I need to see what you'd be needing. I have several thousand yards of vintage, true 40's 50s vintage cotton rayon woven edge ribbon.

I completed this hat yesterday. Today, I await a vintage Gibson ES 175, just like Mr. Steve Howe of YES. That special guitar, one of about 70 more, at my disposal. Can't say for sure the 59 Les Paul makes an appearance, I have to get into the vault and beg....but I'm hopeful, because that is...
I hope that you are right Cindy. I appreciate the good words from you, and the support you've shown me. Yes, I currently am caught up, and I'd love nothing more than to field a few orders, here. You were a becon, of light, and I needed that. I thank you so much for that.

Good morning. I just wanted to stop in and say thank you to those that follow along and take the time, to give a like or make a comment on my work.
Just to update, my shoulder surgery has been a blessing. I hope 2018, is a good year for me. I'd love to be able to get in the river again, to fly...
The dog picture is just way crazy, and I needed a good laugh, oh my goodness.
I'm packing it in today.

I'm humbled today too, and I needed to reach out.
A very good person will read this. He got me through a serious fog, and he should know I'm...
100x Winchester Beaver, the size is 7-1/8 and it has a 2-3/4 inch brim. Final weight, 120.7 grams. Dead on.
I am able to get a very accurate brim thickness reading, using my micrometer, and by getting a very light touch, where my anvils are squared up, and just barely gliding over top, 2...
Anthony, Eric, thanks for stopping in. I truly appreciate appreciate that.
Also thanks to everyone, who is giving me likes, and supportive words here as well as IG.
I appreciate the shared tightness, of family, as you all rally for Cindy and Daniel.
Back to work...have a good day, everyone...
This was flanged, on the #17. Shown as example of what I'd like in a range.
Been able to do one a week, raw edges 2. So the extra blocks, I explained that also. I'm going to give a quick final flange tomorrow and send it out. I'm looking forward to the client photos, he is a pilot, and this will...
I thought, I quoted you, but didnt....below, I answered the question you quys asked.
How have you been? I lost all old email addressed, my new, is alleykathatter@ptd.net
Just answering the block and flange thing.
As I do currently, I have blocks and can cover the range. But I would like to own several, in certain sizes. Block them all, and I'll always have several on Etsy, a website, and when one is done, others are ready for working on.
Flanges. Heck who can't...
Cindy. There was something that I found, which I can do. The initial flanging I relaxed.
And knowing what he is needing, in the front that, I kept that in mind, getting it into the binding work.
I immediately noticed the brim would hold, flat, I did iron it a little bit, as I got up around...
No....no blonde moment. A lot of bartering went on back in the days of old, just saying, a wish list for me, would be a block and flange library. I'm working toward that. Having several in key sizes, allows me lots of bodies, blocked, and drying, all builds for my business as I get into...
Just a thought, anyone who might want back a guy, to get custom made blocks and flanges, from Mark at Hatter Supply? In exchange for hats, and hats, and more hats??
I'd love to have a block library and flanges, adorne my shop walls. I do use vintage blocks now, and always will, but I sure do...
Stepping back a few years. Lots of my work got lost, through photo bucket deletions. Did this fine Shark Gill, for Landman, when I first got started. All hidden stitches.

Good morning Bob, yes, that is Winchester 100x Dark Moss. Thank you very much for the good words and likes. I appreciate everyone here, taking time to weigh in, on my work. I strive for perfection in everything I do.
Well, I have to buy myself a flange now, for this 7-7/8 lo.
But I think I'm going to put a bound pencil curl on this brim, until I have scraped up some funds, to order up one. Think I'll choose a size 8-1/8 to cover a range.
And one of the likely first mistakes you'll make, flanging, is using a heavy woven cloth. You need something like cotton, bed sheet, so you don't leave marks, that you can't brush out.
