Lord knows, I do try my best to keep to the vintage roots and feel in the builds. It's something I always paid attention to, in the things I do or did.
Split Bamboo fly rods
Automobile restoration
Motorcycle restoration
Always, very perticular in the workmanship.
Thanks Cindy!

I'm very glad to have exceeded your expectations on the build, Vic.
And I thank you very much for investing in me; seeing my artistry and helping me grow. Please don't mind my saying so, but that act of kindness, well, it deserves a honorable mention. You helped me, and with out ANY...
Thanks for the good words all.
I wanted to do something different in my ribbon work, just a subtle difference.
I got this idea, from a study I did, on a 1930s Dobbs that I sold to Bowen.
I liked the unique ribbon anchor, and applied it here.

1960s RESISTOL, Crystal 5x Beaver - A western conversion, I completed for a client. I'm hoping I put these photos in the right place.
I recieved a work order from my client with the hat and that gave me direction on possible choices in gray, silver, pewter . But that game plan changed in the...
It depends on what you are looking for. And if the body is in my available stock; or, what's on hand at Winchester. Just a for instance. Navy Blue in Staple, is on back order and will likely be 5 weeks until available.
I only have a few orders. I have blocks but I needed to get 2 blocks made...
I'm getting there slowly, and I would love a website, because I too see the value. I can't hide behind the fact, that, due to extreme circumstances, I'm struggling to get there. That is to include, everything across the board meaning me, getting by, just living.
In 2013, I got hit head on by a...
Something tells me, that I'd likely feel that button, against my head, as they are thick.
I do a loop back in there, in the cord, it's tied in, really, very well. I doubt, it would come free. It's the step I take, to be sure.
I know this is Stoneys, thread, and I know folks are looking for...
Thank you. Yes they did a really great job. I should have the finished product in 2 or 3 weeks. I might take that 7-1/2 raw edge, silverbelly bunny, boss like build, that I did, and put one in it..I was holding off, thought it deserves one!

They are for lack of better words, a real treat to work on. If it doesn't bone up, it's not a great finish, simply said. I like to have 2 on hand, in case one doesn't fare out well. The process to get that to bone up , is different amongst us. I suspect it's why also, many favor building...
T - aren't you glad, you came to me, look how many hours, it took back and forth, with pictures and words, as I helped you understand how to fix your sweatband, and re-apply the ribbon @25B I'd like to see some finished pictures. Tim
I run mien, through the body, and attach it well up near the reed tape. Most secure.
Yes, a small hole, and feed it through with your tool of choice. I don't finish, the tie down, until ribbon is in place and proper. Then I make some final adjustments, and tie it in place, inside the crown.
Agreed. Prices are in line. Dues are paid indeed. I did the same thing a long time back, and I charged little for a build. I'd like to think, that I shoot in similar caliber and have I've also paid my dues. Great post indeed, I'm not here to get into Mikes business, just very happy for him...
