I'm pretty sure that was me referencing the "old guy" earlier. I think you've read too much into it @AbbaDatDeHat. It wasn't an insult, I was merely saying that around here, in Sydney, most of the guys I see wearing leather jackets are "older" guys (myself included at 47). Unless they are on a...
Same for me here @Seb Lucas. None of my friends or acquaintances (except for a few of the younger girls at work) wear a leather jacket ...ever!
Now we have hit the cooler weather, I'm reminded yet again that the only men in Sydney that seem to wear leather here are middle age and older, out of...
Thanks guys, it's a size 38 Black Vicenza with grey alpaca wool lining.
It is pretty roomy for a 38, fits much more like a 40 or even 42 in most other jackets I have.
I'll jump on the scales tomorrow for you @Seb Lucas and let you know how much it weighs.
Another sneaker breakdown and comparison to Common Projects. He also goes back and explains some of his comments that some here took issue with over his take on vegetable tanned vs chrome tanned for a sneaker.
This time a comparison between Common Projects (US$425) vs KOIO (US$248).
If you...
If you watch his breakdowns of the converse 70's (approx $85) I don't think you would still believe that.
I thought he explained that in the scratch test? he got to the fibrous layer quicker than a quality leather should.
Anyway I have no skin in the game but I wouldn't pay more than say $50...
Well this is pretty interesting, I hope none of us has fallen for the "Common Projects" sneaker marketing hype. These USD$425 sneakers have been considered some of the best you can buy according to "the internet" and their own marketing...but its pretty clear this is not the case lol
Considering its approaching 5 1/2 years now for me, with no return correspondence in 2 years...I'm guessing it might be time to consider this as an alternative...
Yeah, both leathers are really nice lighter (or mid weight) leather.
The only issue I have with the ELMC is its dyed all the way through so won't ever get that vintage teacore look.
But I prefer the fit of the ELMC so I never reach for the DD these days.
The Blue Black Goat Half Belt (now the Aero Speedway) had a 21.25" back....I lusted after that damn jacket for ages and when I finally got one, I just couldn't make it work...too short for me.
Thanks to @Tommer45 for breathing new life into my ELMC 40L with its just-slightly-too-long-for-me sleeves. I can't stand having them constantly press onto my wrists. I know some will say these look to short now but you're wrong lol
This has saved my Walnut ELMC Californian (and me a lot of money), for me the sleeves were touch long, this gave me the idea to turn the cuffs up and I really like it!!
Thanks @Tommer45
Have you thought about uploading the older videos you made?...this was a lot of fun and I'd love to see...
