In the meantime, thank you for your kindness towards the Barbisio.
Today a hat from Germany, made in the 75th since the founding of Mayser.
Gray and tone on tone is a constant this week.
Very well-made hat with a very nice felt that keeps its shape even if "battered"
For any consideration...
The weather turns to the good, too much for the season.
This is the week of the Carnival in Verona and starting from Thursday it will be a big party. Traditional masks are already touring primary schools, hospitals and retirement homes to bring some happiness to new humans and those who are...
Cold and foggy day in the morning, lovely in the middle of the day
For the occasion I wore a recently made Tonak
The velour is fantastic as well as the shape and I confess that I still regret not having bought its brother in dark brown, but sometimes he gets wrong even in front of the gems...
Super Barbisio arrived last night between wind and rain.
Practically immaculate, it is one of the hats I most enjoyed buying with the new year.
The size is 59 cm. or 7 3/8 US is actually a bit tight.
As always with the Barbisio produced before 1980 there are small gems.
This has a felt...
Thanks Steve, I was a little bit lazy and I had not brushed well the Morreton.
The high ringhark is due to the stackin
Thanks Joe, your hats are more and more fabolous
Ciao Stefan e grazie. It was a lucky find, but now I dedicated my time to choose the best of YOUR week parade
Grazie Steve. I...
French velour hat, worn these days with sun and overcast skies
Black velour behaves totally differently
Morreton Velrex size 59 or 7 3/8 US arrived until these days in excellent condition except for some "walk" of the moths on the back of the crown
The felt is very light and soft with...
So let's praise Robert for the outstanding work. Diamo a Cesare quel che è di Cesare :)
No, I had never seen a Vanzina Farmer, but, as you well know, the Italian hat industry has done everything and more.
I have a very similar hat made by Panizza, but the size is 55 cm. and every now and then...
The J. Anderson is an Italian hat, probably made in Monza or from a supplier of Cappellificio Cervo. Very nice!
The Panizza Ediston was the last stand of Panizza before their fall. Usually they are very fine hats and this seems to. Bravo marcel
Today, a hat produced in South Tyrol a few years ago, in the town of Merano
The manufacturer is "M. Hutter" probably the best stocked hat shop in South Tyrol where some of my latest, so to speak, purchases come from.
The production machinery was present until about seven years ago when the...
Brent we have the same goal in seeking "special finishes" felt hats :) It is one of my beloved theme in looking at the Italian and sometimes european market. In your collection you have some very interesting hats with some more caracter, a Borsalino Serikon coming into my mind at first and some...
Randall I don't have to defend or justify myself.
I don't need a censor to forbid me from saying what I think.
Bartenders can do whatever they want, according to the rules
Beautiful day with bright sun like yesterday and the day before yesterday and very difficult to photograph "shiny" hats.
Too many "colors" in the shadows, affected by surrounding objects.
Today, I wear a rarity that I have only seen a few times in this honey color.
"Panizza De Luxe" with...
This part hadn't appeared previously in your post, probably the update made some delay in showing all the text you wrote.
It seems to me that you are exaggerating the "culture of cancellation".
Borsalino is one of the many Italian brands that have built hats over time, it's not mine and I...
Rendall, I do not want anyone to be banned to write how and when to enlarge a hat and describe thetools and techniques to do so, there are in this regard an excellent series of technical interventions and not on the threads dedicated to this topic . This was my invitation, nothing more.
If...
Dear fellows, if you talk about Borsalino to strecth I advise you that the "original shape" of Borsalino is really hard to change.
You can do that, but most of the time there is a deformation of the hat.
If not all these posts must be removed to an appropriate thread that exist in the Lounge ;)
I show a hat for all those who have questions or doubts about Borsalino quality
The hat I'm wearing is forty years old, we are at the end of the management of the historic Borsalino family.
Borsalino Qualità Extra Extra Superiore size 6 1/2 or 60 cm. or 7 1/2 US.
The color is "Morello"...
