This is correct, but in 2019 they mentioned on their instagram taking customers again, so I reached out. I don't know whether they're still taking new customers, but its worth asking if you're interested.
With cowboy boots, I've only had experience with Lucchese. I don't own any custom boots yet, but Lucchese is generally regarded as a good maker. Their "1883" line is on the lower price point, while their "Classics" line are more expensive and made in El Paso. Boots made in America command a...
Ya they're cowboy boots. I picked my first pair 7 or so years ago and have been hooked since. More comfortable than they look and more versatile than I expected. Plus you've got the historical significance and I live in the South where they're ubiquitous.
Neither. Lee Miller of Texas Traditions in Austin. He's got a 4 year waiting list. He's considered one of the finest, if not the finest, bootmaker in the US. His work is incredible.
One clarification. Rizky asked for measurements but Peng didnt. I sent them to Peng anyway to ease my own mind. I've got a wide foot with prior foot injuries and I've yet to find that perfect last. I've come close, but I'm still waiting for that holy grail. I'm in the queue for a special maker...
Thanks, man. For sizing, I sent them both measurements (length, ball, instep) and the sizing I take in different boots. I'm relying on their expertise and pray they both fit when they arrive.
Congrats, man! He makes a fantastic engineer boot. There doesn't seem to be a rhyme or reason to who he responds to. It pays to be lucky!
Also, black is the way to go for that first engineer. That's what I'm doing. I ordered my FP engineers back in Sept and based on Peng's original estimates...
Guilty as charged, but in my defense, I’m much more of a boot/shoe than leather jacket guy. From my last count I’ve got 5 boots in varying stages of production. Kind of embarrassing to admit. The sickness is real.
Echo what @Jin431 wrote. I've got the Kujan lasted chelseas and they have a very nice almond toe. Not overly pointy like SLP or the like, and not chiseled like RM Williams.
I've also got some cloe horsebutt boots on order. Maryam seems to get all the buzz, but Cloe is another Italian tannery...
Comfort is subjective but I think my most comfortable pair of footwear is a pair of Lucheese cowboy boots that have molded to my feet. I love my vans, Jordans, ultraboosts, and airmaxs like the next hypebeast, but there’s something about a leather footbed than forms around your feet with every...
Nice! Get after it! So many amazing leather/design options. Peng’s LTT looks incredible. I’m jealous of bootswhiskeycigars amazing collection on insta. Lotta inspiration there.
"Overall, i would say that the for me the road to fit Nirvana was realizing that there isn't actually such a thing, and as so i should focus on the jackets themselves rather than how they fit me.
If they fit great it's a bonus, if they don't well, i can still find another reason to enjoy them."...
