I went to the circus as a little boy and enjoyed it. Even though I still like clowns and always have, as an adult, I know better. Circuses are notorious for animal cruelty. So I'm OK with it shutting down. I'd rather take my daughter to a wildlife preserve, a zoo, or even a rodeo. At least the...
I think it's surprising just how far we've gone from that culture.
Years ago, we bought a Jeep Grand Cherokee. The only way to unlock the doors on this one is by using the key in the driver's door, then opening the door and hitting the door lock switch. Prior to this, we had a car with key holes...
I usually try to just Like a hat pic and try not to comment unless the pic really moves me. When I do post, I try to be non-offensive and friendly regardless of what I'm trying to say.

While I have a Southern relative who proudly refers to himself as a "red neck", it's generally considered a disrespectful derogatory term. When you add racism to it with the qualifier "white South", you pretty much have a post that's going on I get you in trouble.
Personally, I've been called...
I've seen that as time have changed, larger cities seem to be able to weather it better than small towns. Seems the larger population contains enough people still interested in things to keep them lucrative. You can't really expect small towns to be able to keep things frozen in time and...
So some people are allowed to own a piece of clothing and others are not?
Do hear how awful that sounds?
Whatever happened to "live and let live"?

I seem pretty blessed to live in a good neighborhood. We're one of the youngest couples in this 'hood and most of the neighbors keep to themselves. The ones that don't are VERY friendly and generous. All the neighbors are quiet.

If Amazon begins selling the full array of PARTS for kenmore appliances, I'm OK with it. I own several kenmore appliances and I do my own repairs.

I love it when guys wear a nice fedora with more casual attire. I think it shows the world that these hats are still in play. You don't have to wear a 3 piece suit and overcoat with it, and you don't have to settle for a baseball cap when you go casual. Perhaps the same applies to some other...
Took my daughter to feed the tortoises in my Tula Lattice Gardener. I've taken the stampede string out and added a leather hat band with a series of golden "Texas lone star" type emblems around it. While westerns are not usually my style and my wife prefers me in flat caps, I think this looks...
Thanks. I didn't realize that the buckles are treated like ribbon bows.
So, to clarify, the buckle should be over my left ear (not my right)?
Never mind. I re-read your post. Your explanation was quite clear. Thanks.

I have a Tula palm straw they call the "Lattice Gardener". I guess "gardener" because it has a wide 4" brim and "lattice", of course, because it has a vented crown.
It came with a nylon stampede string with a plastic lock. It looked cheap so I pulled it out and put in a leather stampede string...
Apparently. I don't make the names up. The names for the various facial hair styles exist just like names of haircut styles. Or...just like crown bashes. I just look at the online charts. Or course there are inconsistencies. "Goatee" is such a ubiquitous term now that, truthfully, without a...
I upload directly to FL. 3rd party hosting doesn't work as well as we'd all like. Reading back through threads, I see WAY TOO MANY place holders for photos that are no longer available because either the service changed or you reorganized your photos and moved them without updating ALL your...
