Positively outstanding. Each one of my Aero hides has its own character, but I admit I do go back to my black aero cafe racer for its special hard earned patina.
I have 2 jackets I'm selling as a pair for $550 + shipping CONUS:
#1 Vanson Enfield in Octagon Horsehide, size 44
Bought from a fellow lounger for $500 (new it's about $750 I believe), it runs true to size at a 44. I've worn it on two hour long rides, but is by no means broken in. Leather is...
Racer,
That is beautiful! I'm thinking of a teamster so it's nice to see the buttons with it. I am a big fan of your Sheene and now have one myself in seal Vicenza.
How would you compare the leather to your vicenza, or to FQHH or regular steer if you can?
I love Aero's steer, and am intrigued by what little pics I've been able to find (not much) of their battered steer.
Anybody have a good pic of it, or know how it compares to either Aero's battered horse or tumbled FQHH?
Parts of my FQHH highwayman, vicenza sheene and steer cafe racer have panels with irregular grain, that frankly I love. It almost lends a fingerprint or identity to each jacket, which I translate as character.
I agree with Seb. I'll also add that a cafe racer meant for riding is supposed to be tight around the waist to keep it in place in the event you go down on the bike, while still having room to move in the shoulders. More narrow shoulders and a larger waist is probably more comfortable for...
I'd love to see a fit pic!
I've thought about goatskin or vincenza for that same reason. My vincenza is probably my favorite but seems a little delicate in regard to scratches compared with My FQHH jackets, so I was hesitant to go that route.
Thanks for the post Bunyip. I know to accommodate shearling you are supposed to size up one shell size. Images on the forum of the thunder bay seem to be when loungers get the jacket right out of the box and they tend to look "poofy" for lack of a better word.
I wonder if anyone has a pic...
Has anyone had shearling in a button up heavy leather jacket? I'm contemplating an Aero teamster with shearling and am soliciting advice from the crowd.
Rowing machine. As in wear it while you're rowing....ended up being a funny story when my wife saw me.
The best results I had Breaking one in was while shoveling snow. Heavy wet snow/sleet was falling and the jacket was soaked and heated from the exercise.
My Vicenza Sheene is modeled after a cafe racer I purchased from another lounger. It has "0.5" added to each side from the armpits down." This translates into 2 inches of added circumference below the chest. I have similar measurements to you at 45.5" chest and 42" at the navel, and this with...
