I would say jerky is less spongy than vicenza in the rain, and seems to be a bit more water repellent, but my experience is limited to getting caught in light rain. Nothing compared to a memorable summer storm that soaked my vicenza Dustbowl. After that, it never recovered its initial suppleness.
I would stick with cotton drill, a perfect complement to Vicenza, that will stay light and confortable. If you choose wool or quilted, you might find it too warm if you go out for a walk or ride a bicycle.

I can confirm that the sleeve length is right, and the jacket feels comfortable everywhere.
As for the body length, I suppose it was modeled after the 50's pattern, so it's historically correct.
I'm very happy with it, and keeping it as it is.
Of all the reasons that make Field leathers jackets attractive, the choice of hides is to me the most important one. I was particularly attracted to shinki, and for the first time, a maker based in Europe provided the opportunity to experience it for an affordable price, and without the hassle...
For what it's worth:
-arm gussets help moving your arms while keeping the rest in place.
-eyelets help breathing.
- not sure 3 piece arm makes a big difference
- if you can ask for a specific back length, then you might prefer a straight back for esthetic reasons. The dip only adds extra length...
