    Sure - if your torso is quite short (like mine, I think....) the half belt divides the back for no reason and the back looks distinctly short and stocky. Its just an optical illusion for most of us. BUT: On the other hand a one-piece back stretches the impressive of a short torso . . . IMHO...

    A few years ago I've ordered an A-2 in vintage black FQHH from AERO - and it looked just amazing, unfortunately way too short and had to send it back. But still playing with idea to have a black A-2. It will be look like this: just fine because I am also into khaki pants (Bills Khakis)

    I like to agree with HoosierDaddy - it must be 'Vintage' Horsehide from Aero. I still own a Windward in Vintage black FQHH since 2007 - and it look quite the same. Quite grainy, heavy and relaxed leather with differents parts of grainy and smoother parts. Here's a pic for comparison:
