To avoid measurement errors ALWAYS lay the jackets FLAT + ZIPPERED - relaxed without wrinkles and without any stretching.
Same with your shoulder measurements, better lay it flat instead hanging over a chair...
look here ....
I prefer the same as you Stanley - with the mighty three colors black, brown, cordovan I like to match the shoes and belts - maybe too snobby or just old school.
Never go with black leather jacket and brown shoes it look somehow wrong, strange and inappropriate.
Oh sh** I've forgotten to take...
Thanks for sharing just PERFECT - It looks like an evocative work of art!! I would call it "Pioneer at sunset" (or was it sunrise)
Any close ups to see what the shower did for your jacket....
I have a Windward wirh 3/4 shearling lining and gave the measurements of one of my other Windwards to AERO.
Wanted Body, shoulder and sleeves lenght the same as I like - only pit to pit ONE inch more.
I am wearing Size 46 - my armpit to armpit measures 27" - and in my shearling Windward 28...
Hey Cole - as the others have already said: GREAT FIT and a killer jacket, amazing brown - don't worry, just wear that Beauty in good health...!
C O L E you are looking C O O L !
@Boyo - I wish an A-2 jacket would fit me like yours - outstanding ...!
Merry Christmas from South America - unfortunately christmas is a NO NO weather for leather jackets - today we have 43 C / 107,6 F :flame::flame::flame:
I have to wait until July / August then we have bitter cold (almost 12 C / 53 F) to ride my ponies - and than,
I will get another Leather...
WDW thats WOW, you lucky man ... right under the christmas tree...GREAT!!
I like the lenght of both and as you know, love cordovan and now... also the combination of black wool and cordovan. Thanks for sharing.
Happy Hollydays to you and your family...:cheers1:
I am wondering about this jacket - is this a quite unknown Flightjacket or just custom made ...
Since not erverybody like Flap pockets - and not everybody see the need to wear only historical accuracy jackets -
probably an idea to create a different "Flightjacket"? What's your opinions /...
Same here Benny - the mercury rises most up to 43C/109F for Christmas :flame:-
but nevertheless I feel fine with Bills Twill - imagine all the people who wearing 15oz jeans all the time...:eeek:
Happy Holiday!
PS: Might be a good Idea if we post pics how they fit M1 / M2 / M1P ... or whatever...
I agree - the midweight Horsehide is less stiff compared to Frontquarter Horsehide, it softens quite easily and has a surface from grainy to smooth. With wearing the reddish undertone comes through and develope nice patina - but it takes time. On mine I always missed the waxy feeling which is...
I totally agree!! After many trials and errors, I found my Chinos in Bills Khakis.
Mostly I wear the Original Twill in 8,5oz in color khaki, british khaki and - next - in color mushroom.
I am a 38"-waist-guy and prefer the M2 (standard) fit - roomy, 0.5 -1" under the belly botton, without...
Thanks Highwaymanman - as far as I know AERO uses with a shearling lined jacket one size up - so if your oil pull HWM is quite roomy it might be a good idea to get it shearling lined. On the other hand a black FQHH is a must (IMO). And if the time is right for a new (leather) jacket I would...
@Highwaymanman - I ordered the same size as my others - because I want it to wear it just with a shirt (only the armpit to armpit measured one inch more)
Its fun to wear a jacket in cold winter with just a shirt ... but I am able to wear it also with a (light!) merino sweater without any...
I have seen here in Southamerica no sweaty cows/horses....:D
Oh, perhaps only when they be prepared for the asado (BBQ)
But I must admit that today I can only wear a shirt...!
We have today 40 degrees C / 104 F - and man, it's hot like hell!
