Oh yes, I can smell the horsehide ... the jacket looks real great with the midbrown mouton fur collar ... no doubt, absolutely "deluxe" !!!
Possibly you can convert the jacket into an "spring - jacket" if you leave the studded cuffs open ... just a thought.
I feel a "bit warmer" in the heavy cotton drill than in the more refined cotton poplin ... I love both ... but for my next jacket I would take the refined cotton. For chilly weather I have alpaca and shearling lining to keep me warm and cosy.
Black meets brown ....
Dav - this is for you ... stick with it!

Hi Dav - I've made the same decision with my Vintage brown FQHH Windward - and I love it. For my taste brown horsehide and black lining looks more "luxury" while brown and brown are not really amazing. Ask if you'll get the old black cotton drill which is like denim, or the newer black cotton...
These are the other "Mighty Three" ... if you think these models look very similiar...yes you're right:

Before recrafting - just to show the color...
Thanks Gentleman for reopen this thread and the compliments ...
@mimaximax ... @Mr.Cooperson ....Its always a pleasure to see - and show - how an Aero develope character ...
@Graemsay .... like to complete the look with shoes in (fairly) similiar colors - so cherry would be a problem cause...
Hi - here yoou can see my Vintage brown Windward after 10 month - since the dry spots bother me I dare to try Pecard...and...like the result.
Before Pecard....
After the tender treatment....
Hi NevadaPD - If you go with the A-2 style epaulettes and stud down collar suggest order without breastpockets - yes, less could be more...
With the standard collar I would take one breast pocket - I like the decent Halfbelt pocket and almost realized that I need a breast pocket for sunglasses...
Just want you to know .... just received back my jerky seal Windward from altering . . .
Due to the midweight horse hide it feels too blousey in the back after a while - so I decided to send it back to Aero to solve the problem.
And now I got a perfect fit and the feeling is so great its now...
That would be a shame - but cannot believe it and think a good rumor increasing sales and interest...and a friendly request will make mostly a lot possible.
