Today I went around to various thrift stores and the flea market store. I picked up these ties. All the bow ties and all the ties besides the two Haband's ties are from the flea store. I even saw a 1960s suit at the flea store, but unfortunately it was 36 short. I also got a Swedish American...

    What are you wearing today??

Here I am wearing my new (old) bow tie from the 1950s or 1960s. I got it today at the indoor flea market. It seems there is always a good find in there! :D The belt is from Goodwill. I also got it today. Unfortunately I didn't polish the buckle before the picture. I just polished it a few...

    What are you listening to?

Dear God, thank you for helping me get and play the melodeon and harmonica. I am extremely grateful for these gifts! Amen. In today's video, I play the Chicken Dance on my Accordiola Mundinger Diaton III Grand Luxe club accordion. :D Enjoy! :D

What cigar (or pipe) did you smoke today?

I'm a cheapskate: Dutch Masters President. I enjoyed it. I bet I just committed cigar blasphemy.

Am I the only member who doesn't wear a hat?

I don't really wear hats very much because I noticed that none of my hats fit me except a trilby: All my hats besides my 1960s or 1970s trilby are one size or more too big. Besides, I personally feel some of my hats make my face look even rounder.

    What are you listening to?

Dear God, thank you for helping me get and play the melodeon and harmonica. I am extremely grateful for these gifts! Amen. In today's video I play Korobeiniki (Коробейники) which is also known as the Tetris Song. It is a Russian folk tune. I play it on my Accordiola Mundinger Diaton III Grand...

Safety of Using Vintage Alarm Clocks

Thanks for the replies! The cord is slightly brittle. Not super brittle. In fact, the "brittleness" might be from all the dirt caked on the cord. I can't see any visible damage where the cord enters the clock.

Thanks! I'm glad you like the ties! :) I don't smoke cigarettes. I do vape. That's an e-cigarette. I also smoke pipes and cigars occasionally.

Safety of Using Vintage Alarm Clocks

Nope haven't checked the innards. It seems to work fine, as does the alarm. Unfortunately I don't know of any electronics repair shops or people into electronics.

Safety of Using Vintage Alarm Clocks

I decided to use the General Electric (probably 1960s) alarm clock as my alarm clock. Is it safe to do so if you don't notice any apparent frays? The clock.

I usually wear my new red bow tie to work, but today I wore the vintage yellow stripe bow tie. I get compliments every now and then. :D

    What are you wearing today??

I was wearing my new red bow tie until I took the pictures for the vintage stuff I found at the flea market/thrift store/tag sale. I'm guessing this clip-on bow tie is from either the late 1950s or the early 1960s. I really like it! :D

    Bow Ties

After work today I stopped by a large indoor flea market/tag sale/thrift store. I found a 1960s summer sport coat but sadly it was for a taller than average person. Fortunately, I stayed and found two 1950s/1960s bow ties. :D Late 50s/60s clip-on bow tie. Yellow diagonal stripes. Late...

    Vintage Supermarket Stuff

I didn't get any interior pictures yet (only a picture of the calendar, which I took for my personal use.) Here's the exterior. Unfortunately I didn't get the gas pumps. They are on the right of the building. Keep in mind that I am standing in almost the edge of the parking area. It's not...

    What are you wearing today??

Thanks! :D The watch is made by Citizen. The neat thing about it is that you never need to change the battery: It charges itself! :D

    Vintage Supermarket Stuff

The supermarket I work at is on the small side. It doesn't have much land to my knowledge, and it has a very small parking lot (only two rows.) It's in a small rural town surrounded by other small rural towns. I highly doubt that they will ever be bought out by a supermarket chain because I...
