    60s Sport Coat Buttons?

I have this wonderful plaid 60s sport coat I got from a local flea market store last year. I would love to be able to wear it, but the middle button is broken. Where might I find a button that matches the other buttons to replace the broken one? Thanks! :D I would like to mention that I...

How to Stop Losing Lapel Pins?

It seems to me that my lapel pins are always getting loose, or in rarer circumstances completely falling off. I've lost one close to a year ago, and one fell off today (but I found it.) I could be wrong, but I think I've also had another one start getting loose. What are some tricks on...

    What are you wearing today??

Here's a sport coat I picked up today. I got the tie today too. The University Shop Eli Moore. No union label, but from the looks of it it's clearly a 60s sport coat. The tie is by Vicky Davis and it is 50" long and 1 3/4" wide. It's also probably from the 60s.

Today I went to a local thrift store and picked up these guys. The University Shop Eli Moore. No union label, but from the looks of it it's clearly a 60s sport coat. Brooks Bros. tie. 52" long. 3" wide. Probably late 40s or 50s. Vicky Davis. 50" long. 1 3/4" wide. Probably 60s...

    What are you wearing today??

Here's some stuff I picked up recently. Farah slacks. I thought these pants were 60s, but the label made me a bit wary as it's the style the 80s. I'm still kind of unsure of when these pants are from because while the label appears to be the 80s one, the style of the pants appears to be 60s...

This tie has to be one of the first Dacron ties ever made. At a first glance, the tie appears to be a 40s or 50s tie because it is stitched as such and it is 51" long and 3 3/4" wide. Oddly enough, the tie is made from Dacron. I did not know Dacron was around in the late 40s-early 50s era...

Picked up some interesting ties yesterday. Clipper Gab Ties by Sherman. Probably 40s. 48" long. 3 3/4" wide. Here's a weird green tie. It's ridiculously short at only 33" long. I haven't a clue on when it's from, but it seems to be constructed similarly to a 60s tie, but it has very sharp...

Thoughts on this scarf + need help!

While I don't know how to date scarves, you should probably cut the loose thread because it has the potential of unraveling the scarf.

Site to find original clothing from 1940s?

eBay and Etsy have lots of vintage items from the 50s and 60s. I am sure they also have 40s stuff.

I picked up this wonderful Sullivan, Williams & Co. Ltd. sport coat yesterday at a local flea market/thrift store. It was made in London on August 20th 1963 according to the tag. It also has neat tennis racket buttons. I've never seen a 60s double breasted jacket before, let alone a 60s jacket...

    Interesting Observation

I've noticed that the difference between styles from 1956 and 1966 is very subtle if we are looking at conservative clothes from both years. However, the difference between 1966 and 1976 is very bold, especially with sport coats, suits, ties etc. The difference between 1976 and 1986 seems to be...
