Broken-in Lost Worlds a Myth?
My LW A-2, 3.5oz hide. Worn almost daily for a 3-year stretch (before my switch to G-1’s). Knits and zipper still good as new. Hide is indestructible! Just wear it and forget it.- thor

Willis & Geiger G-1 today on a cold, rainy, windy day (spent the day indoors watching “Midway” a third time!). Great fit on this particular jacket; wore it with a thermal undershirt and my old CPO khaki uniform shirt from my Navy days.- thor

Broken-in Lost Worlds a Myth?
I had a LW A-2 for about 8 years, wore it every day, everywhere. It was awesome! Perfectly broken-in. I’ll try to find some pics. Sadly I eventually outgrew it and purchased another LW one size larger. Now I’m working on trying to break that one in (but I’m mostly wearing G-1’s these days).- thor

American Patrol Caps custom made the Admiral cap for actor Woody Harrelson (who plays Admiral Nimitz)... I enjoyed the movie very much, despite the lack of authentic jackets and the heavy use of CGI.- thor

Can anyone identify this ‘G-1,’ please?
Additionally I believe some late 1940’s jackets, the first batch of 55-J-14’ s, have both a stencil and a windflap perforation as standard markings (from the manufacturer) before the Navy dropped the collar stencil completely.- thor

Can anyone identify this ‘G-1,’ please?
Cool jacket! I know that some M-422a jackets were issued even after WWII and saw service in the Korean War. These jackets would have both the collar stencil and an added USN windflap perforation. I don’t think the manufacturers did this, I believe it was done thru the Navy supply system where...- thor

Black G-1 Jackets?
Check out Gibson & Barnes. They made a black goatskin “Civil” G-1 (not 100% military spec, with side entry handwarmer pockets). Their jackets are very good quality once you work out the sizing.- thor

Although I am a traditionalist when it comes to G-1’s and almost all in my collection are brown, I did find a US Wings G-1 in black on eBay. It was in like-new condition and I got it for under $100. It is very well made with a super plush black mouton collar and the thick black pebbled goatskin...- thor
