They're probably made by Meramec.
The Thorogood maxwear wedge soles are Meramec, and they also make the wedges for Carolina and Danner.
They're the best wedges available, pretty long lasting.
And that's exactly why my 5 year old Thorogood 4364's don't look nearly as bad as they could.
I built a couple sheds, re-shingled the house, and spent countless hours out in my workshop with these boots on my feet.
I take care of them the best I can without babying them though so they still look...
If you had to step into the house real quick for something and didn't have time to take your boots off then put them back on.
I'm not sure when the wedge sole wellingtons or the speed hooks were introduced .
Yep originally they were the Irish setters.
When it comes to Thorogood however, they originally intended theirs for farmers as the sole tracks less mud.
For now just the deerskin vest.
Later this evening I will be wearing the USGI black trench coat while I'm hiding out front among my Halloween decorations ready to scare kids before they can get their candy.
A couple weeks ago we had an 80°f day that started out in the high 50's , I wore the cooper A2 over just a T shirt to walk the pup around 7:30am and I was freezing.
That day I determined that the A2 really is pretty much just good for early fall.
Anyways this morning I decided to try pairing the...
It was made by Pioneer Wear out of Albuquerque New Mexico back in the early 70's.
You can probably find a similar-ish suede trucker jacket, but you definitely won't find anything with this lining and probably not with the nicely contrasting white stitching.
I post pictures of jackets, but don't care about trends or whether my pants shirt or boots ...etc go with the jacket I'm wearing.
I just wear the clothes I want to wear and put on whatever jacket is appropriate for the days weather, I'm not putting together outfits...etc
I always wear the same...
The pioneer wear trucker and USGI commando sweater.
I still don't know what it is about this combo that I like, but I wouldn't be surprised if I'm the only one who likes it.
As a blue collar guy jeans are mostly all I wear ( and some canvas work pants) and I've always worn them before I even got into jackets.
I simply never thought to change the type of pants I'm wearing just because I have a love of jackets, I'm not into fashion or anything like that.
Really?
I'm actually not the most happy with the fit of this one, I wish it were about 3/4" longer and maybe 1/2" bigger.
It's just snug enough that I find myself wanting to unbutton it while sitting down.
I am certainly happy with the look and quality of this vest that's for sure.
This...
They make stuff to help with this ?
My stache grows just fine, but can't grow a beard or goatee worth a damn.
It won't grow in very full at all nor will it grow very long, I'm not sure if I'd like having a beard but I'd like to try.
I finally get to wear this woolrich that I acquired in like new condition off Ebay a few weeks back, and it feels like an old familiar friend.
It may not be for everybody since it's quite basic and utilitarian in cut, but I really love it.
This model is kind of sentimental to me I guess...
