The chest pocket is high to be in proportion with and far enough away from the handwarmer pockets. If it were lower it would be too close to the handwarmers and all the pockets would all be too close together, and it would look funny. a 38 in the chips or highwayman fits like a 42. so going with a 42 would be like wearing a 46 or 48. It's weird sizing for sure, I don't know why Aero does it this way- Cyber Lip

Question for the peeps here who have ordered one of these custom from Aero/Thurston...I used to have one and stupidly sold it which I now regret, so I'm thinking about getting another one. hmmm, I like it and I'm not sure if I like it both at the same time LOL. I like it a lot on a plain front jacket for sure, but I guess the jury's out on whether I like it or not with that yoke. I think it looks better on that particular jacket due to the more pronounced slant and point than it...- Cyber Lip

I was wondering if a splay like you mention would look good on this jacket due to the bottom yoke. A splay looks great on a plain style, but might look odd on a jacket with a bottom yoke at the front hem. Thoughts anyone?- Cyber Lip

I think it was done this way because of how high the handwarmer pockets are, which are high due to the bottom yoke. If the chest pocket was lower it would be too close to the handwarmer pockets and it would look like a cluster F of pockets all placed too close together- Cyber Lip
