what i don't like is the idea that the wait is too far out from the time you can file a dispute with either paypal or your credit card company in the event the maker doesn't come through. At 1.5 years they can basically just do what they want, take as long as they want, etc. nothing is holding...
uh oh, those are fighting words around here lol. I'm not sure it's 'a lot of people' here as much as it is a couple very annoyingly persistent guys that will try and convince everyone that 'super-trim and short' is the ONLY way to wear a jacket. Especially one guy in particular who I won't name...
It still looks good there, do you mean the deep creases in the sleeves? btw - the stitching on your pockets looks about the same as mine...acceptable, not horrible, but not impeccably done either
Hi Jeo. I've also got an Imperial that looks to be about this level of stitching. Mine has a little hiccup though at the chest pocket. Nothing that's worth crying over though. How does yours look? Could you post a pic of your chest pocket?
Some of the stitching in the OP's pics looks like apprentice-level work. You'd think they'd be extra-extra careful on a light thread on dark leather contrast stitched jacket, and if they've got a trainee or apprentice on the sewing machine they'd -at the most- only let them do the black on black...
the sheene is based on the cafe racer right? I had that hanging off my neckbone feeling with my aero cafe racer. for what it's worth, i've had a few of their styles and the cafe racer was the only style that felt like that.
you might want to think about a different leather. CXL can be a real bear on a slim fitting jacket. For me CXL really only works with a couple of their styles, like a regular highwayman or one of their crosszip MC jackets. Maybe think about Vicenza or one of their other hides. That same jacket...
Something else maybe worth noting is as a house style, Himel favors a shorter sleeve by design. And by shorter I mean ending right at the wrist. So there's that. A lot of people wear MC jackets with a longer sleeve, so many makers may add length there in their designs.
I ordered both a...
They're great but they're all wool-lined and not the greatest for warmer weather, so keep that in mind. They're also cut to fit a certain body type (skinny w/proportionately wide shoulders, narrow chest, and long-ish arms). Even if the measurements look like a good fit for you on paper they...
I just assumed he must have been rich due to how many he was constantly buying, then like you said - immediately dumping. It seemed like he had a new jacket every couple days. I thought maybe he was a wine mogul LOL.
But I get why he might no longer be here. I'm into watches and was on the...
As we all know, jacket buying can be hit or miss and it takes a few purchasing mistakes until you get it right. I always got the impression this is what he was going through, and he had enough $$ to be able to buy 'a lot' of them in his search for what he liked and what worked best for him...
if your plan is to wear it layered with hoodies/sweatshirts like you're doing there, then i think it's perfect. otherwise it's probably a tad too big but would need to see pics of you in it with just a t-shirt to confirm. btw I like the sleeve length. I like the sleeves to hit me at about the...
LOL, uh yeah...no. I'd say 'nice try' at your attempts to put words in my mouth, but it was such a half-assed effort. I said I liked his jacket and thought it looked great. If you're going to pretend to quote someone, at least try to get it in the ballpark of what was said, if you want to sound...
ummm, no I did not do or say that, not even close. And I hope you feel good about yourself for making the OP feel just great about his "blisteringly-expensive yet half-assed Himel". Good job
