@Salmosalar When I ordered my two Badalassi jackets back in 2018 I was asking Aero (the owner Ken) directly if they do have stock or if they are willing to source it - they eventually had old stock and I ordered. A couple of months later they finally decided to re-stock tobacco and russet...
@TooManyHatsOnlyOneHead With a bit of a delay I just want to tell you that this GF is my personal favorite leather jacket of your collection! Can’t get any better in terms of fit and overall style IMO!
@MrProper It‘s getting darker, man! Good job so far! Great looking jacket. Is the thickness/heaviness comparable to CXLFQHH or more Vincenza? Looks rather thick and heavy.
I think the result looks fine - I think better than the Fine Creek Leather The Nostar jackets with cut belt and epaulets...damn I think FCL did steal his idea :D
Who says that the jacket is botched? I can't really see it on the pics. The seller is picky with his jackets and chose a specialist who can deal with these alterations. Maybe you're right, maybe not - I hope not. We'll see next week.
Thanks! Not really as it hasn't seen any rain as I only wear CXL jackets in rain. I've worn it maybe 8-9 times, so not so often till now. I'm sure @HoosierDaddy has worn his Teamster more often and can give you the information you need.
@Monitor Many thanks. The seller is a nice guy and he told me prior to buying that he didn't like the side laces and therefore contacted a professional leather tailer who modified it for him. As I don't care much about laces or no laces (I already have two jackets with laces) for this jacket...
Thanks @Marc mndt Thanks for your feedback! Honestly speaking I didn't notice that on my former The Flat Head jacket and stitching quality of TFH is compareable with RMC....in other words both are not flawless. On the other hand I really like this cross zip and I don't know a maker who can make...
Many thanks @Mysteryo for sharing the Vinted link. I finally couldn't resist as IMO this The Flat Head jacket looks super cool and is brand new. The thick mouton collar is detachable and the lining is rather thick according to the seller. I hope the stitching is better than on the one posted by...
Man, why do you sell it? I bet it's max. one number too big!
GLWS, Marc! Really good condition (lining is not a big issue as the leather is in perfect condition) and really good deal for a size 46 person!:D
I agree also to your comment regarding Vicenza as battered HH is heavier. Newer Badalassi batches obviously are less heavy than my old batch I ordered back in 2018 (remaining batch before they decided to order Badalassi on a regular basis).
I agree with Jon. I used to have an Aero Sunburst made of tumbled CXFQHH and leather was less stiff. Jacket itself was not as heavy as my battered tan Board Racer if I rembember correctly but for sure there is a batch to batch variation:
The battered tan HH used on my Boardracer is definitely as heavy as the CXLFQHH used on my other jackets I've owned so far. I'm sure the batches differ. I really like the colour variations. It's rather stiff and needs break-in like CXL. The surface is not smooth like CXL, it has a more waxy...
That's really funny (probably due to different body proportions and my small belly I got in the last week :D) and even more funny is that we found this gem the same day and you pulled my trigger to BIN :) Anyway, the jacket deserves you as its new owner!
