It is a Buco, but it's Buco M.K.S., which is widely considered a poor quality diffusion product that was made when Buco allowed their label to be outsourced. I've never handled them, but I know some here have stated it's basically an entirely different brand than J. Buco.
You can tell by the...
Nice! @Coriu was the one who first linked it in the finds and deals thread.
Natal / Natel and Kerr Leather are two underrated brands I can think of that consistently have heavyweight jackets. Very thick hide. Some Walter Dyer jackets are similar as well.

Might be Natal / Natel? I had suspected this brand as well, but had been unable to find any cross zips that looked very similar until now.
If that's your criteria, I think Branded probably wouldn't be the best pick up. "Motorcycle jackets" is a bit of a vague term, but I would say most of the jackets they produced were heavyweight, intended for either riders or police departments. The former jackets are in standard "moto" patterns...
That's a real cool piece IMO, I may try to give it a go if the price stays low. Maybe not though, the measurements (particularly the sleeves) would be a deal breaker if they're accurate.
Branded is what I'm thinking, though I'm not 100% sure. It seems to be a less common style. All their jackets have large kidney panels, but most have a curve and two belt loops. Does the stitching on your jacket match the belt stitching on the back here?
I think this is the Al's CHP I sold to J, and if it is, I think you'll be very pleased. It's a tank of a jacket, rivals any Vanson I've handled so far.
I acquired a steerhide Buco CR recently for reselling purposes and I was surprised at the quality of the leather. It feels very papery and thin. Maybe it hasn't been treated well, but the hide itself is light and quite flimsy. It's a 60s-70s jacket (teardrop talons), but is totally blown out by...
The neck hole is annoying, but I have found that just wearing something else with a collar makes it look much more normal. I didn't wear it extensively since my return was approved, but today I tried it on with a collared shirt and the gap area looked much more bearable because the shirt collar...
My quick contribution:
I ordered a Cidu jacket on AliExpress that was supposed to look like this: A waxed canvas / leather Type 2 jacket.
Instead, I got this: A waxed canvas / leather shawl style (cossack?) jacket.
Not what I wanted at all, so it'll be going back and I'll try to order...
Bates was my first thought too. They often had unlined jackets, too. The vents at the armpits are a bit more uncommon, but I have had some Bates jackets with those present as well. However, the back design doesn't match any Bates I've seen. Bates' jackets usually have either a straight line or a...
Here's a pic of what I associate with the old comp weight...This jacket was extremely sturdy and stiff (could stand up on its own). Also extremely grainy. If all my jackets had leather like this, I would be a happy man.
In contrast, here's a CHP I used to own that I think used their more...
Very good deal for a 60s flight jacket (nice leather, real shearling) in size 38. Only $120 with free shipping. https://www.ebay.com/itm/60-039-s-Original-Vintage-US-Navy-Flight-Jacket-Type-G-1-Men-039-s-38-Brown-Goatskin-/334178027529?
Jacket itch came around and so I decided to try out this waxed Type 2 from the Chinese market (not sure if Cidu is the actual company that makes these). @Marc mndt tipped me off to these when he made a Type II post way back in January. Hopefully I get the right size and color, haha.
Could you tell me what measurements you're looking for? I have a black Brooks cafe racer I've been getting around to listing, but there's no size label. I could check the measurements later and see if they'd work.
Here's a Lost World's WHITE leather jacket, starting at only $166 and ending in a day in Japan. Size 36, but the measurements seem to match a 38.
As good as the price is, I'm a bit iffy on it. The seller mentions peeling and cracking in the description. The pictures aren't super helpful, but...
