What Jacket Are You Wearing Today?
I really like this! Very classic look to it, like 1930s hunting gear. Nods to military field jackets while remaining identifiably civilian. Love this! I'm a big fan of this more subtle style of Western gear. Would be fab in a heavy canvas with a shearling or blanket lining too!- Edward

I do like a vent pattern like that on a felt hat. Not something you see at all often now, but really ideal for those 'in between felt and straw' days when straw isn't enough but felt is just too hot... -

Not by sight.... if there's still a tag in one of the pockets with the date of manufacture on it that might help - it's a very long time since Connolly was available, so after a certain date it won't be. CXL is not the only steerhide available now, of course - there's also a midweight steer...- Edward

It'll find its own, new equilibrium of course. The real upside of ecommerce, imo, is that it allows for specialist businesses that otherwise as bricks and mortar affairs wouldn't have the reach to survive on physical custom alone, but online with access to a global market...- Edward

Different strokes, I guess: the waistband on those is so low I'd be desperately uncomfortable in them, aside from hating how low waists look. :)- Edward

Given Vanson designed these to be actual motorcycle PPE, I would expect the waistband being on the actual waist rather than several inches south of it is very much deliberate.- Edward

Bright Shoemakers review
Great review. Interesting comments on the sizing. Footwear to go with our jackets
I have a pair of Lennons I bought about a decade ago. A very lucky find on eBay - someone bought then never wore them. Mine are the B5 ww1 boot, but in a smooth black leather. Lovely boot to wear, and if you prefer a less pronounced toe, you'll definitely like them. These ones look great too...- Edward
